As retired snowbirds, we spend the summer in Canada and the winter in AZ. We travel back and forth in a 23 foot Mercedes Sprinter. In Az., We live in a small 2 bedroom home in the foothills of Yuma, with a long driveway with full hook ups. We travel both the west and east coasts on our way back and forth, following the weather and points of interest.
Both my husband and I play country music.
We have a baby Az. desert tortoise which we do not travel with....we love all animals especially puppies!
All National Parks especially those in Utah.
Foot hills of Yuma AZ.

The evening around the campfire with music & song provided by Linda & Ev was a really perfect way to meet new friends. We were joined by our neighbors who didn't want the evening to end. Thank you to Linda & Ev. You are more than welcome to return anytime...
Great folk and glad to have them stay with us! You are welcome back anytime!
Very Nice couple, hardly knew they were around They are welcome back anytime.
Was great to see them again and enjoy some music with them.
They arrived ill, so we were not able to socialize like we would have hoped, but they were very welcoming and friendly. We would be pleased to host them again.
We hosted them last summer - they hosted us last winter - we were so happy to host them again this summer. Linda is the most uplifting person and happened upon us at a trying time and lifted our spirits. Everett so graciously gave me lessons on the bass guitar. Will welcome them any time.
They are very good guest. We exchanged on boondocking and travelling. They are a very nice couple. We hope to see them again.
Great guests - had a great time jamming and showing them our wonderful little town :)
The Stokes are very nice people and very easy people to host. Although we din't get to visit much we did hear them playing their instruments and it was very soothing. As it was the first time we had live music here it added to our experience of our property. Well done. Hopefully next time they could stay a bit longer and we could get Everett out fishing. Safe travels you two and hope to bump into you in Yuma this winter.
Linda & Everett were great, I'm glad they choose us. We visited quite a bit and hopefully helped them a bit with some
USB and 12 vdc plug additions in there motorhome. They took Becky & I out to dinner 1 night which was fun and gave us a chance to visit with each other. Easy folks and very respectful. Come on back anytime.
Had a very well organized visit with this couple. They plan ahead and are prompt on their delivery. Came and went for two days and we hardly new they were on the property.
Faithwoods
Very happy to hear you enjoyed my little piece of paradise. Come back anytime.
Got a last minute request for an overnight from Linda. Unfortunately, we had plans to go out to a lake where we have our RV currently but that was no reason for them not to take advantage of our driveway. They did and left us a nice note. We are both in to playing music so hope to catch up with them in Yuma. What a fun way to meet new people with common interests.
We really enjoyed meeting Linda and Everett.
They stayed on our driveway overnight while passing through on their way home to Winnipeg. We invited them in for a visit and enjoyed their life stories and interesting travels. We would like to visit again (maybe in Arizona) and we'll break out the guitars and make some music. "Christian" is a bit of a simplification to describe a very intelligent woman with a Doctor of Ministry in Theology!
Perfect and quiet spot. The hosts were welcoming and had great suggestions on what to visit near by. Thanks to them we saw the Yuma Prison which was not initially on our radar. Highly recommended.
This is a really convenient location and the people are very friendly and helpful! We had a peaceful and pleasant stay. Near a Walmart and a number of food options. Can’t beat that big desert sky!
This very nice double lot is easily accessible, roomy and convenient to shopping and other services. Our hosts were extremely pleasant. Full hookups are available if necessary. Thank you for a great stay!
What a great place to stop for the night and rest up before our trip home today (we’ve been away since early August)
Sorry we missed our sharing music with you but hope to stop back again - and be here on a Monday to jam ;)
Thank you for your hospitality - the ham, wonderful lemon bars and lemons!
Stay well!
E & H
We stopped here for a quick night, my kids and I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and looking at the Christmas lights. This is a convenient location, kind hosts and had water, electric and an area to dump our tank! Thank you!
Nice stay close to City center with full hookups including 50A. Didn't get a chance to say goodbye as we're bb slow and Linda and Ev were already out and about. Great hosts; thanks for everything.
Our Boondockers Welcome experience at Yuma Foothills was just perfect! Not only was the given ‚camp spot’ designed to make Boondockers feel comfortable and welcome but the hosts that greet you upon arrival do too! Many wonderful jamming sessions, followed by good food and great company was to be had, and we ended up extending our stay, visiting exciting corners of Yuma! Thank you new friends! We will keep in touch!
Lovely. Stay. Actually. One more night. Perfect couple and surroundings. Great fun. Music. Fire. Loved the area as well. Quiet. Peaceful
They were awesome host. The welcomed was very warm and inviting. Will stay here again.
Thanks you both. The place is more than great. You are beautiful and so nice couple...We had everything we need ! Even a new BBQ. Nice covered patio...I hope to see you next year...
I pray for you both. Zina and Dominique
We are so glad to have these friends we have made on BW. They have always made us feel welcome, and we are genuinely glad to see them each time we are in Yuma. If you're ever in town, make sure to stay a night or two, and get to meet these great people.
We did not get a lot of time to visit with our hosts but they were very generous making sure we were parked safely and asked if we needed anything. we took them up on a little bit of water and had a very dark, quiet, cool evening in Yuma. New experience for us, very interesting place.
We had a lovely evening at this location. We arrived later than we expected. (If you are traveling from California, there is a one hour time change very close to here). We were so sorry to arrive late, but our hosts were gracious and helped us get settled. Quite and safe, we think we will stay another night after exploring the area!
We are very grateful for this experience.
With great thanks,
~Jeana & Mark
We arrived late and could not call because of their Canadian phone number we made it to their house just before bedtime and they were so friendly and welcoming we got along great and would stop again in the future
We had a wonderful stay with these folks who warmly welcomed us to their host location. Our visit luckily coincided with a weekly musical jam session that was held at their place. We got to meet a large number of their friendly friends and I even got to jam with their group on a spare keyboard that a friend had brought along! They also gave us excellent guidance on getting to Mexico for some emergency dental work which helped us save a lot of money, too. Due to their warmth and inviting us into their group of friends we highly recommend these hosts to anyone passing through the Yuma area! Thanks so much folks! We won't forget your generosity!
We had a very nice time. Our hosts were very gracious and generous. Thank you so much for your kindness.
Our hosts were gracious, accommodating, and friendly. A most enjoyable visit. Beautiful area and easy. Would most definitely visit again!
It’s always nice to come here. Glad to call these hosts friends
We are always excited to get to Yuma to see these guys. They make us feel right at home and are so hospitable. If you’re headed through Yuma, you would be missing out to not stop and meet them. Thank you for everything.
As I wander, I find many beautiful locations to stay overnight. Safety is a must have, and their location provided. The real treasure here, kindness. I was surprised with the opportunity to attend a their little group of musicians for the most delightful afternoon! My bucket is full and I'm on my way to pay it forward ☺️
Thanks again for this night. Hope the best for you. Helpful when we arrive, mostly flat spot, electric and water wow!!! Thanks
Thanks for this very useful and quick way to spend a night in Yuma. Nice place, mostly quiet and safe!
Had a very quick overnight stay. L and E are very nice retired folks. We had a short friendly conversation the night we arrived but getting in too close to bed time limited that. We had to get going in the morning so only had a short conversation in the morning. We were welcomed back to stay for another evening but we were moving on. Will not hesitate to stay again should the opportunity arise. Hopefully we can return the favour one day. E gave me a great tip on a water pump issue I was having in our rig that solved the problem.
Linda and Everett made us extremely welcome and we enjoyed an interesting chat with them and their friends over a cup of tea. We had a very peaceful and comfortable night on their drive. Thanks a lot.
They are Great host. Very accommodating and friendly. Really nice area. Would be happy to recommend!
Great location with easy access. Had a lovely night spending some time with our hosts and their friends. Guitars came out and songs were sung; talented group of people and lots of fun.
Sorry for taking so long to confirm. As we say in Kiwi we have been "gone bush" in Southern Nm and Tx and away from internet. Linda and E treated us like friends, fed and watered us - Blue Moon if I remember correctly.
Their situation easily acomodated our RV and we had interesting exchanges of ideas. They went off next day trusting us to leave at our leisure. Once again I must appologise for breaking the broom. . Thanks again and we hope to return the favor in NZ sometime into the future.
Regards,
-bruce and Marguerite
We stayed only for one night.
Kind hosts, who gave us electricity and offered water as well.
Thanks!!
We had a very restful night after a long day.
Hosts were very busy, as were we, but we had some interesting conversation and are looking forward to returning for a longer visit.
We had a nice quiet stay. Were able to use electric. Enjoyed meeting the hosts and talking about travel before getting back on the road.
We didn't get to meet Linda who so graciously allowed us to stay in her driveway while she was away. Unfortunately I was sick and didn't get to see Yuma either, but it was so nice to recuperate in a safe, quiet place with everything we needed. Thank you, Linda, and by the way, we watered your flowers well both days.
Great level paved spot perfect for my wheelchair. Lovely warm charming couple, perfect hosts.
We received a warm welcome from host. He provided water and power as well. Even invited us back tomorrow for live music session :) Could not think of anything better than that!
Very friendly and nice. Great knowledge of he area. Nice flat spot with hook ups available. Definitely recommend.
Our hosts are a wonderful couple and gave us a very inviting welcome. We had a very nice visit with them when we arrived. They also offered for us to stay longer. Thanks so much Linda and Everett.
Had a nice quiet evening at Yuma Foothills. It was nice to meet another couple who travels as we do, which ever way the winds move us.
Wonderful hosts. Very welcoming. Offered tea, dinner, water, electric, and even showers! We were exhausted though and just enjoyed a safe, quiet place to recuperate. I hope we come back this way one day and can visit with these wonderful people!
Quiet and safe location. We came in late. later than expected due to an unexpected delay in leaving our previous location and forgetting about the time change, but we’re still made to feel welcome. Communication was great! We ended up parking on the street because we were planning on departing early in the morning. The street was level with no traffic we were tired and grateful for the opportunity to stay.
Linda & Everett are lovely, gracious hosts. Both play guitar and sing - we thoroughly enjoyed a serenade and their company as we sipped a glass of wine in their living room. We had a quiet, restful night and look forward to reciprocating whenever they find themselves on Vancouver Island.
Linda is a very welcoming host in Yuma . I would recommend a stay here if you are passing through .
Awesome welcome and stay , highly recommanded if you are in the area, thanks again.
Thank you to our hosts Linda & Everett for the 2 peaceful nights we’ve spent at their very cozy place. Very welcoming couple, easy to connect. They have been very kind to offer shower, laundry and extending our stay for an extra night at their place. Our stay there allowed us to organize our longer stay in the area, getting accurate information from the Yuma Field Office about BLM, LTVA and other Recreational areas, and to refurbishing our provisions at Walmart & 99 cents Stores. It gave us time also to enjoy shower & bath at a Hot Springs in Holtville (110F), not far from there. Hope to see in Mont-Tremblant anytime.
Pauline & Chris
Happened to arrive on music jam day- last belt welcoming folks not afraid of conversations!
Easy access stop near interstate but in a quiet neighborhood. They had other boondockers there but were kind enough to let us park also. Got there late and they had a light on and extension cord over the wall in case we needed it. Quick stay but much better then a noisy truck stop or walmart 😊😊
Another great experience with Boondockers Welcome. We actually stayed four nites after requesting only one. They're extremely nice people.
Linda and Everett made us so welcome that we stayed an extra night. So that's two nights of power, water and a level, peaceful spot. Better yet, realising that they both played instruments and sang, both evenings Nigel, his guitar, and I joined them and their friends for music and fun. Thank you for a great stay.
the Stokes were very gracious hosts. They offered all the amenities one could need, electric, water, sewer, even laundry.
Had a very nice visit one evening with them.
Linda’s BW spot is perfect-level, easy to park, quiet, safe and centrally located. But the best is the hospitality of Linda. They offered us wine as we sat outside on a nice evening talking, of course, about traveling! Their hosting is above and beyond and so much appreciated.
Kind people with a perfect spot on their large driveway to pop-up our camper for the night on our way out of AZ, complete with electric and water - thank you both!
Linda and Everett were wonderful hosts. They could not have been more hospitable .. offering food, rides, tons of local advice and much more. We very much enjoyed eating our meals with them and having wide-ranging & interesting conversations.
Level, paved driveway on a quiet street in Yuma Foothills area. The hosts kindly offered us the use of their electricity for the night!
Had a wonderful stay with the Stokes. They invited us to stay longer so that we could join them in a jam session and we certainly accepted their offer. Unfortunately a sandstorm canceled the day of music but we still got to do a little pickin'. Hope they will be our guest next summer on their travels. They had a beautiful spot for us to park our trailer and also provided us with wifi and electricity and were super hospitable.
What a well need respite on a difficult trip. Linda and Everett were wonderful hosts.
We enjoyed our stay with Linda and Everett very much. Nice quiet refuge from busy Yuma. Even got to enjoy some live country music!
Linda was not at home but Everett is also an good host! We get the wifi-code and electra and offer to use the laundry had a good stay on their driveway. It was quite it the night. A perfect spot for visiting Yuma-area. When we come back to USA next year we hope to visit them again! Thanks a lot for your hospitality!
as we are very new to rving and are rig we need extra help with water and hookups. Everett was very knowledgeable and a great help to us and Linda was friendly and offered cold water or coffee upon our arrival. we could not have asked for a better stay. also the area was quiet and peaceful and we slept well.
Linda was such a great host. Recommendations for local activities, generous and gracious. People like this are who Boondockers Welcome was made for!
Linda and Everett were a pleasure to meet super kind and welcoming. Linda was really helpful with local knowledge and so nice to our kids. The spot fit our bus perfect and there were lots of amenities and parks close by!
What can we say about this couple, that is going to even do them justice. These hosts were so kind, and welcoming. We felt right at home. They helped us from start to finish, and we couldn't have asked for more. These two are a wealth of knowledge, and they are happy to help anyway they can. We feel lucky to have met them, and now call them friends. If we ever go through Yuma again, we will definitely look them up.
we stayed with them at their house in Winnipeg in july and it was a so warm hospitality! we would had love to come see them at their new house in Arizona but finally its was'nt possible on our travelling choice. We rote the late caus we had problems with our divices and we in the wild a lot for the last couples of months on our roadtrip. Now we are in Texas putting time in the internet world!
So go see them!
Linda and her husband were most accommodating when we asked less than 24 hours in advance if they had a spot. They gave clear directions and were very welcoming and generous ! We especially liked having a night around the fire with them and some of their musician friends ! They offered many ideas on what to do around and we've discovered so much because of them !
We felt very welcome and hope to see them again in the future !
Mary & Al
We had to get some mail from switzerland, and asked Linda if we could use her adress and then stay with her a night or two. We were welcomed by her husband, and invited to have some stew for supper. They made feel us very comfortable like at a new home. we had such a great time in winnipeg with them. Hope all your plans go right, and God bless you.
Linda and Everett let us stay a couple of nights which was very kind of them. I should have read their profile more carefully as they had a max length of 20 ft and we have a 26 ft. It was a little tight but worked out fine. They are an interesting couple and as always they have a story or two to tell. Would recommend hosting this couple but to stay with them you should have a smaller unit.
Called on the phone, they still had guesses we wanted to make Mexico
It was all good
Hope to stay in future
