Dusting off the traveling bug

Do you know or have you hosted this user?

I am a physician assistant in oncology (cancer) who loves her dogs, bees, chickens and of course, husband, Jeff. We are wanting to see the country and learn about our cultures. We are just getting back in the saddle of traveling. Typically we'll have our 3 small pups with us, and can keep to ourselves well. We will respect your property as if it is ours.

Skills & Expertise to Share

Animal lover, healthcare worker. My husband is a fly fisherman and we own a guide service.

bardean's Pets

3 dachshunds, who will accompany us typically. We have a fence we'll put up to contain them and walk them on leashes (although our 14 year old can't see a thing, so she may be off a leash and is slow as a turtle, so won't go anywhere).

Favorite Boondocking Locations

Haven't tried any as of July, 2020.

bardean's Hometown

Boone, NC, the mountains of the north western part of the state.

SUCH A FUN COUPLE

What a sweet couple with 3 well behaved quiet dogs. They had spent hours on the road and were pretty shot when they pulled in and still took the time to visit us at our campfire for a long chat. They were leaving early the next morning since they were headed home they needed to get to sleep. They were respectful of everything, quiet, and left before we got out of bed the next day. Would love to have them back any time. You should accept any requests from them.

Welcome to the club!

It was our pleasure to host bardean at Shalamar Farm for their first BW experience. Driving from NC to Montana with 3 cute dachshunds might be a challenge by itself but they were organized and ready for the opportunity. Talkative, kind and a happy young couple that we would have enjoyed spending more time with...but adventures await them! Respectful of our property and would host them again. Welcome to BW!!
