I stayed two nights - very easy location to park and level enough that I didn't use any leveling blocks. The host was extremely pleasant and helpful. Very nice location and convenient to many commercial activities. I would highly recommend this host and location.
We really enjoyed our stay and felt welcome! Hookups were convenient and felt private although in the city!
Settled in to a level spot on gravel driveway in a quiet neighborhood. Beautiful desert landscapes, very walk friendly area - we walked the neighborhood at sunrise with our dog and even walked to nearby Whole Foods and area restaurant for dinner on an outside patio. Relaxed & watched the awesome sunset & reflection as the Catalina Mountains turned an amazing shade of pink. Our hosts treated us to views of the moon with their high powered telescopes - wow! We enjoyed chatting with them under the starlit Tucson sky.
Truly enjoyed their hospitality & would certainly love to return again.
Enjoyed walking around this pretty neighborhood, excellent hosts, and convenient location!
This my second visit and it was even better than my first and that was great!
My host was first rate, offering ideas for me to be comfortable in the heat and being so friendly.
And many wildlife sightings with quail, cottontails, ground squirrels, 3 kinds of lizards, many birds, including a hummingbird and even a coyote on my walk through the neighborhood.
I'll be back if they'll have me.
Hosts were such great people, and their property/neighborhood was awesome.
Really loved staying for a couple of nights, and would love the opportunity to meet/stay with them again!!
Easily accessed parking area in a classic Tucson neighborhood. Only one block from shopping as well as Tucson’s well-known botanical garden. Beautiful view of the Catalina mountains too. Our hosts were delightful — very accommodating and kind. Thank you so much!
So grateful to meet like-minded folks enjoying life and the adventures of travel. We where thankful to stay at their home and when the winds came up they offered an additional night. We our hoping one day they will travel our way so that we see each other down the road.
Great place to stay, easy to get to, friendly and helpful. No problem with our 40 ft. 5th wheel. Lots in the area to do.
Caschoen is a great host and very friendly with helpful local knowkedge. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Easy drive with plenty of room to turn around for a level parking spot and easy stay for the night. I'd be pleased to visit again, if they'll have me.
Another great BW host and stay. Convenient location, close to everything, easy, level parking, nice neighborhood with pretty gardens.
One note if you’re traveling with a dog: there are coyotes in the area. We went for a walk one evening (but before dusk—still fully light out) and had two separate coyotes approach fairly close with eyes on our smaller dog. This was across the road from this neighborhood, but still nearby (one at the school on Chapala Dr and the other along the road that runs along the West side of Tohono Chol park)—both in a very populated and busy area. Maybe that’s normal here but we were caught off guard. We were able to “shoo” them away both times, but they were close enough that we were picking up rocks to throw, and a person who lived on the street along the park came out to tell us they can run through in packs and to get our dog home. Again, this was not in this neighborhood, but would recommend talking with host or another local about where to walk if you have a pet. Obviously not at all related to the host but wanted to let people know. Thanks again to the host for letting us stay!
Caschoen was very welcoming and helpful in getting us settled in, offering water and electricity. He offered to have an RV repair person/friend of his come look at our water pump/system since we were having trouble with it. While we were gone, Caschoen and the repair person worked on our water pump making it usable again until a definitive repair could be made. So "above and beyond." Can't say enough good things about this lovely couple.
Caschoen were such great hosts! They gave great suggestions, including giving great directions to a free dump down the road, and made getting into their driveway a cinch. If I'm ever in Tucson again I hope they are around and have availability as I'd love to stay with them again!
Friendly & very helpful. Loved spending time sharing our camping experiences. Thanks for hosting.
We are fairly new to Boondockers Welcome and this was our best stay yet! The Casa sits at the base of the Catalina Mountains with beautiful views and a wonderfully landscaped yard filled with beautiful cactus. Though it feels as if you are in the country, it is still close to shopping and other business areas. Mr. was absolutely wonderful in helping us to back in, was so very friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief visit and would love to meet these folks on the road. Thank you so much!
We had such a wonderful time here. Our host was very gracious and shared a wealth of information about exploring Tucson. Our 3 year old was delighted by the slide in the back yard. We enjoyed a beautiful sunrise from our front window. We even left with a custom welcome mat. What a fabulous place!
This was our first experience staying with a Boondockers Welcome host. Our stay was an amazing experience! The host was very friendly and made us feel welcome and at ease. He shared interesting information about the area and other attractions to check out. The location is perfect, in town without feeling like you are in town. We will definitely be reaching out to stay again in the future. Thank you for sharing your property and hospitality!
Enjoyed my time in Tucson with these gracious hosts! The neighborhood was full of beautiful homes with amazing landscaping.
Generous, thoughtful host near Catalina Mountains. Plenty of hiking around, great suggestions of things to do. Good communication with updates, flexibility, easy to park.
Our stay at “Our Casa” has been an amazing experience. The location is nestled in a natural grove of Palo verde trees, various species of cactii and a couple amazing saguaros. It’s truly a great landscape scene that we were blessed to see from the comfort of our trailer. The hosts are very welcoming and they have a wealth of experience and knowledge about the area as well as RVing in general. Being that we are new to the RV world, we took advantage and soaked up as much knowledge as they were willing to share. This is definitely a place to stop by if you are ever in Tucson. I know we will when we pass by here again.
A great place to stay in a wonderful neighborhood while checking out all Tucson has to offer. It was easy to back in our 37 ft 5th wheel. Walking distance to shops, grocery and a beautiful garden. The hosts were very welcoming and provided insight on things to see and history of the area. We will definitely stay here when we come back this way. Arrived as strangers, left as friends.
Our generous hosts were pleasant and very accomodating. Their directions were straightforward and the easily accessible space for our rig included water and electric. The location is very convenient to much of what Tucson has to offer. We would definitely stay here again!
Loved our stay. beautiful spot at the base of the Catalina Mountains.
Hosts were terrific, thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them about RV travel while enjoying the beautiful sunset.
Highly recommend this stopover!
