We have been full-timing for three years. We have upgraded to include solar and lithium batteries so we can do more boondocking, but also enjoy hookups when needed (if AC is needed). We love our lifestyle and the people we have met along the way! We have camphosted the last three summers in Idaho near Yellowstone and volunteered in a Georgia state park during the COVID lockdowns.
Love to mow. Love animals. Willing to learn/try just about anything!
We have 2 dachshunds, sisters, who will be 10 in Sept. Very sweet girls who we love dearly and who love people, and do well with other dogs and cats. They are always on a leash and are always picked up after.
We have boondocked quite a bit. Favorite was in Canada and Alaska, because we were able to stay near lakes, but have also enjoyed Harvest Host locations, (a farm in WA, a dairy in TX, some breweries in LA), various rest stops, Cabellas, casinos and walmarts. We prefer to boondock in nature, but when we just needed a place to sleep we have used other options, and while we don't prefer store parking lots and rest areas, they have worked in a pinch. We enjoy the peace quiet of boondocking, especially as RVing is getting so much more popular, and the campgrounds are so busy!! We normally stay at places more than one night, unless it's to get from point A to point B, so we have time to explore areas.
We are fulltimers. Have sold our home, but we have a Sioux Falls, SD address.
