We are both retired from the medical field. We are enjoying the RV lifestyle with a group or by ourselves.

We love to travel in our RV both in campgrounds and boondocking. Enjoy seeing new places and meeting new people. We belong to a local RV group and go with them every few months, but we enjoy going off by ourselves too. One of our favorite trips was to Sedona, AZ, Colorado and Utah. Amazing places. In 2015, our destination will be the Tetons in Wyoming then join the group at Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota.
Dennis grew up in North Dakota on a farm. After high school, he joined the Navy. He was a corpsman for 22 years, specializing in radiology. He was attached to the Marine Corps for 11 years.
Janet moved a lot as a child, but considers San Diego, CA her home. She graduated from high school and started a family. As a mature person, she attended San Diego State University and earned a Master's degree in Gerontology. She worked with Alzheimer's individuals for ten years until retiring.
In 2005, we sold our condo in San Diego and built a home in Apple Valley, CA.

Hi Desert's Hometown

We live in Apple Valley which is in southern California. It is a rural community in the high desert. The summers are warm/hot and the winters are cool/cold. We get snow occasionally. It is very different from San Diego CA, but we like it.

First Visit

We had the honor of hosting Janet and Dennis (Hi Desert) for their first Boondockers Welcome visit. They stayed a couple of nights and took care of some business in Bakersfield. They are a wonderful couple and we hope they will stay with us again when they're this direction.

We shared many RVing experiences and found that we had much in common. They were consummate guests and are welcome to stay with us any time.
