We enjoyed having this couple on the property. Our first boondockers to stay at the lower lot and offered a positive option for us for other guests in the future. Come on back anytime
This was our second stay with Ed and Sue and had a great time again. We had a BBQ potluck and a Sunday lunch which were fabulous as usual. We got to enjoy the great hiking trails in the area as well. See ya soon guys!
The hosts were awesome people and could not have been more hospitable! Close to some fun stuff like, swimming with manatees at Crystal River and fan boats at the nearby lake. Hopefully will stay again!
Beautiful property. Welcoming people who provided some amazing place to go and see. Peaceful spot
We loved meeting our host and hearing all about there camps! We were sad we didn’t get to spend more time with them but look forwards to returning some time! They were so warm and welcoming! Ok
We loved our stay here at the very aptly named Good Spirit Ranch!! I was the perfect location for us to visit friends in The Villages and Springhill. They were so friendly and were very patient. We were running way behind schedule and were not keeping them well advised and they still graciously got us settled even though we made them late to a meeting!! We were treated like family the whole time we were there and it is truly so quiet and peaceful, you may never want to leave!! They had a little pot luck dinner on our last night and it was very special to get to meet all the other people staying there!! We were worried about what to bring for the pot luck since we didn't have much, but it worked out perfectly!! We truly believe we have met some life long friends!!
We can't say enough about our stay; very accommodating host, easy setup, plenty of space, very quiet, clean, enjoyed the birds, close enough to everything we wanted to do. Thank you very much!!!!
Wonderful hosts! Quiet, beautiful location! Easy in and easy out for large rig, plenty of room to maneuver. We wish we had more time with the hosts as they were so pleasant! We will stay here again if passing through!
We had a terrific stay with ednsue and his daughter's family. They printed up a list of things to do in the area and invited us to a Saturday night potluck. Our kids had a great time playing with their grandkids. Thank you for the lovely stay!
This is a wonderful spot to camp out for a bit. The hosts were very gracious and helped with everything I needed. It was quiet here and a nice stay. Definitely one of the winners!
ednsue at Good Spirit Ranch were excellent hosts on our first time out boondocking. They greeted us as we pulled in and directed us to a very nice site with water and electric. From the moment we got there they treated us like family. We also got to meet their daughter and her two children who were also a joy to get to know. We highly recommend them.
We very much enjoyed our stay with these friendly hosts and their white free roaming dove! The facility is very nice, with plenty of grass. We enjoyed having lunch at nearby Crystal River (Peck's Old Port Cove, on the marsh) for fresh seafood, and only a half hour drive. We look forward to returning in the future!
Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We were greeted when we arrived, and he showed us where to park. It was quiet and relaxing, a nice place to unwind.
EdNSue are welcoming and wonderful hosts! They greeted us upon arrival and helped direct us to the best place for our trailer. They have several spots and work out the best place for each kind of rig. They gave us great info on local hiking trails, springs, and restaurants. We just stayed for an overnight between local state park reservations, but felt right at home. Best wishes on your camp this summer!
Ed & Sue are pleasant, friendly, and accommodating hosts that even coordinate potlucks and campfires with their guests. Their ranch is about a mile from the highway thus making it peaceful. There are song birds and squirrels providing entertainment while resting in your lawn chair in the shade. We’ll be repeat guests on our next go-around.
Ed and Sue were extremely accommodating hosts! We had a nice private area to park in, with some farm animals as nearby neighbors. They gave us a ton of info for things to do and explore and we had a wonderful time getting to know this part of Florida! We would definitely stay here again.
These are of course ultra hosts. We enjoyed every minute to stay at this wonderful place with this wonderful folks.
We will be back for sure!!!
We truly enjoyed our time at the Good Spirit Ranch. Such wonderful hosts offering a quite and level boondocking experience for multiple boondockers. Plus, the evening campfire they hosted was a memorable layed back event with great conversations with the other guests. Looking forward to another visit in the future.
GSR is a beautiful place and what makes it better are Ed and Sue! They are a very caring genuine couple and do much in service to others. Wish we could have stayed longer to find out more about the camps and programs they provide! Hopefully we'll be back. 😊
They have plenty of room and put us in a flat and easy spot.
Ed and Sue were the ultimate hosts. If Florida is a northerner’s cake, Sue and Ed are the icing. Fabulous stay!
We as a first timer in Boondocking choose exact the right hosts for the best experience we could ever made. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We will be back for sure!!!
This was the best place I've ever stayed. The guests are good people of faith and greeted me and guided me where to park. Plugged into 30 amp had water a shower facility . they had a nice private country setting very well organized and we had potluck meals and bon fire while we listened to host play the guitar with the other campers. We all hated to leave. I would recommend this stop to all. Thanks again for all the warm kindness and care.
From history lessons to music lessons, you'll find Ed and Sue's kindness and generosity beyond accommodating! The pot luck and campfire was a real treat! Make sure you ask Ed to play guitar and sing! We hope to cross paths in the future!
Lastly....never, never, never give up (WC)!
Great stop. Met the nicest hosts and guests! Great fun. We ended up staying 3 nights instead of 1.
Wonderful folks, property is amazing. Enjoyed a potluck supper with fellow travelers and Ed’s talents with music 🎵 around a campfire. Your kids will love it! You will be as delighted...😉
Nice location, friendly people, everything you could ask for - even biscuits and gravy! Thanks ednsue!
Our 5 night stay was the end of a month long journey around Florida before heading home. We found the Good Spirit Ranch very welcoming and helpful to get us set up with our needed hookups. There were 5 different RV guests staying at the “Ranch” all with their style of traveling vehicles. A special treat from our host was an invitation to participate in a pot luck dinner and singing and sharing stories around the campfire . Crystal River and Rainbow springs are close by and busy but beautiful places to see. Don’t miss Reds breakfast and lunch restaurant just up the street from the ranch, great food! Thanks So much to our host for a perfect finish to our trip.
Nice open property. There where a few other rigs staying at the same time. We had a great time talking to the others as well as the hosts. Kids had a blast riding bikes around and playing on the swings. We will definitely stay here if in the area again.
We really, I mean really enjoyed our stay at the Good Spirit Ranch. Ednsue made our experience comfortable, light hearted and truly enjoyable. They have the gift of hospitality and I’m thankful we got to be the receiving end.
They had several other campers stay on the property (we were all nicely spread out) so they arranged a potluck dinner and campfire complete with guitar playing and singing! We loved it! Staying with local folks gives you inside information about things to do but is also so handy if you need any services provided. At one point I needed to have a document notarized and they pointed me in the right direction.
We can easily say this was our favorite boondocking experience and would definitely request to come back if we are in the area again
The dogs and I truly enjoyed our stay at The Good Spirit Ranch. You can’t beat the friendly hosts and level, private spot that includes electric hook up. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening around the beautiful fire pit! A great spot to stop if you’re in the area~ highly recommended!
Thanks ednsue for sharing your lovely place!
Gracious hosts. Had a great evening around a campfire. Highly recommend.
A wonderful Boondocking experience at the Good Sprit Ranch. The Host's made this stop exceptional with their kindness and friendly personalities. We enjoyed campfire time and sharing life experiences.
The spot was quiet, level and easy parking with our 35' MH and toad.
While there we were there we ran into old Boondocking friends which was such a great bonus.
We highly recommend the Good Sprit Ranch, thanks again to these special host, God Bless.
This is a really big beautifully landscaped property with plenty of space to maneuver your big rig. There is tons of outdoor stuff to do in the area. Hiking, biking, river activities and great restaurants aplenty. Get ready for great fireside happy hours and potluck get togethers and please tell Ed how great his cooking is so you don't hurt his feelings. Ed and Sue are wonderful giving people who make you feel at home and make you want to come back as soon as possible. Thanks you for all you do for us weary travelers.
Everything about Good Spirt Ranch is Good! Good location, good RV spot, and extra good host. Hope someday to revisit them.
You know from the first time you meet them that they are full of love for others. They have a nice big property and have lots of visitors. We got to park up front beside the barn in a nice flat grassy area and they let us hook up to hydro and water. This place was truely a blessing for us.
Our hosts were the most gracious. It’s such a blessing to be able to pull into a spot for the night and know that you are safe and secure. Thank you for allowing us to stay!!
Beautiful property and wonderful hosts, only wish we could have stayed longer to visit. Hoping to plan a return visit.
Stayed here the night of 02/11/2021. The Hosts were welcoming and gracious. The host and spouse aided us in moving into our parking area. Easy access to the address. This is a beautiful location and gracious hosts. We appreciated the opportunity to enjoy their hospitality. 30 amp electricity and water were available and valued. Would definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself. Camped in a 37' Class A motorhome with a toad on a paved surface.
It was our first experience with boondockers welcome. Ed and Sue are super host.
I will give them 5 Stars. We shared Happy hour and the dinner all together PLUS piano, guitar, sing songs what a nice evening !
Will come back for sure !
Ednsue are a warm and friendly couple. They greeted us upon our arrival and gave us an option to park in 2 different spots. We chose the area closest to the neighbor's farm. The site was quiet (even though there were goats, a rooster and a turkey next door), level, and had a 30amp and water connection. An excellent Boondocker site! We definitely want to make a return visit when in the area again.
This was our first experience with Boondockers Welcome and it will be a hard one to top! Ednsue are wonderful hosts and we throughly enjoyed our stay with them! They invited us to a shared meal where we met some of their friends and church family, it could not have been nicer! We’ll be back!!
Truly Awesome experience, we arrived at this beautiful location with the sound of a steel drum band practiceing so so peaceful. Met two other boondockers Bob & Ellen(Great People). We were invited and attended a pot luck supper. Gumbo me o my o so good. Our hosts Ed & Sue ate Super People. Must Stay if You can! Super Great Experience: ) George& Becky (Da Romers ) : )
We had a very delightful experience here. We were able to go to Crystal River (35 minute drive) and put in our canoe. You can also see Manatees from several parks there. This is a great property to boondock on. Very out in the country and quiet. Farm next door rescues animals so during our visit they have a cow, several sheep, and turkeys. We saw the most stars we have seen in years! Very friendly host! You'll never regret staying here!
The host was a great host. This was first time I used Boondockers Welcome. Due to a traffic accident and highway tie up, we arrived about 45 minutes late. The host was very accommodating and helped us get settled. I can not tell you how great this experience was!
This is super easy to get in and out of. Ed n Sue were VERY gracious hosts. We got to stay 3 days and visit family as well as swim with the manatees.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice quiet spot to bunk down!
We certainly enjoyed our stay. Made us feel very welcomed. Great host and hostess helped us get set up and there was plenty of room for our little pooch to walk around on her leash. Very quiet setting-could barely hear the goat or the pig unless we walked close to the neighbor's fence. Enjoyed the nice meal with them plus their other invited guests. They really helped solve a small problem. Would enjoy stopping again if we get a chance to be in that neighborhood.
