Ft. Wilderness 2018

We are typically weekend campers with the occasional longer trip out of state. We hope to be able to take some longer trips of 2+ weeks in the next couple of years. We have had a few campers over the years and plan on traveling full time when we retire. We love getting away from the chaos during the week and meeting new people. We aren't crazy about crowds and since our daughter is older, we don't need playgrounds, pools etc. She enjoys the quiet and scenery as much as we do and adores animals so staying on the same property with various farm animals and pets would be a bonus!

Skills & Expertise to Share

I am very experienced in the kitchen and cook extensively when we travel. We don't eat typical camping food- we eat like we would at home. I am a knitter and always have a project or two in the works. Our daughter is quite the artist and loves to draw. My husband is very handy with vehicles and does all of the upgrades and fixes on our camper and has too many other skills to list.

emckean's Pets

We have two miniature dachshunds, Lukas and Oskar. They love camping and meeting new people. Great little travelers!

Favorite Boondocking Locations

We have never boondocked but have everything we need and have tested it out at home. We are looking forward to traveling/staying this way in the future.

Awesome family!

Great family that we enjoyed getting to know and spend some time with. Very respectful, easy to get along with and great conversationalists.
