We love to travel, well, more so myself, and I drag the rest of the family along.
In the summer of 2018, my wife and I travelled the US for six months in a pickup truck where we converted a truck cap into sleeping quarters. About half of the time we couchsurfed and the other half we slept in National Forests and public land. This trip was our honeymoon. We saw all 48 of the contiguous states and their capitals.
While I loved every minute of it, my wife never wanted to do it again, hence, we've upgraded to a Truck Camper for some increased creature comforts.
I'm not sure if links are allowed here, but if they are, our blogs is https://cstheus.wordpress.com
We're also present on the Couchsurfing website. Again, if links are allowed, you'll see it at https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/cstheus
You can also read our reviews.
We love socializing, bicycling, hiking, probably kayaking but I haven't purchased one yet, board games.
Particularly during the summer and fall months, we love to visit county fairs, particularly for the demolition derbies.
We can share stories of a travels, and we like to gift our hosts something from our Country.
I'm fairly tech-y and I can help you with computer, network, wifi issues while I'm at your place!
My wife is an Athletic Therapist. If you haven't heard of it, think Physiotherapist but much better. She can help you with any muscle pain you may be having.
We can teach you card games.

We've truck camped everywhere from casino parking lots, Walmarts, random streets, the middle of deserts, to National Forest. For 6 months, we also lived in a trailer park.
That being said, we prefer being surrounded by nature and secluded.
I'm originally from San Diego, CA however we currently reside in Cambridge, ON. We're playing with the idea of moving out west to British Columbia or Alberta as we love the mountains.
Our truck camper fits entirely on the truck. The overall length of our truck is about 19 feet long. We may have a bicycle rack in the back which could add another 3 feet or so. The shower is exterior only. We have a small tent that will we bring with us, if you prefer that we don't set that up, that is fine as we also plan to shower at gyms, etc. We prefer to use the porta-potti which we can use either inside the truck camper or in the portable tent. We'll only use it outside (in the tent) with your permission. TL:DR We are able to be completely self-contained. However, depending on your level of comfort, we wouldn't mind setting up a table & chairs, small shower tent, and any of the regular hookups : electricity, water, etc.
We enjoyed hosting this couple and their little one! They were able to watch the sunset and enjoy the campfire at the Fox Den.
Everyone practised our social distancing - but we’ were still able to chat a bit!
Welcome back anytime!! And happy adventures in the future!
Was great to host this young family.
