We are both in our late twenties and have been living in our trailer full-time since November. Our goals for this lifestyle are to spend as much time outdoors as possible and choose a place to settle down eventually, preferably in the PNW area. We’d love to be able to host Boondockers on our own property some day.
James has been a handyman specializing in painting and small repairs for the past 7 years. Nicole works in environmental education and conservation. We were active in the Chicago music scene before we moved out of the city, and we hope to find another artistic community wherever we end up. We’re open-minded and laid back people.
We are willing to help with pretty much anything and are always open to learning. If you have any projects or repairs you need done, James would be happy to help out when needed.
Other: manual labor- office work- music (singing, guitar)- photography- cleaning
We have a dog named Ballyhoo. He is 3 years old, he was rescued by us when he was 1. He is a bundle of energy but sometimes nervous so he will always be on leash with us. He usually loves making doggie friends.
We always love a clear view of the stars.
We are from the northwest Chicago suburbs but lived in the city for the past few years. We’re Midwesterners looking for mountain adventures.
We have a 20 foot travel trailer. It’s a 1995 Mallard 19N that we bought and updated this summer. Our tow vehicle is a 2010 Nissan Armada.
N&J&H are the most descent human beings on the planet. They will always have a place here 24/7. Hope to see them again 😇
Very nice people. Chatted a little. they were very quite and neat. Welcome back anytime.
Very nice people. Will host again anytime. Helped my husband do a few things that needed done around here, which was wonderful!
Pleasant visitors who let us know when they were arriving and leaving. Definitely recommend.
We were happy to host them. Friendly couple and their dog who wanted to explore the area. They were quiet and easy guests. We enjoyed talking to them and hearing about their adventures. They would be welcome back anytime.
A nice, friendly, young couple. Enjoyed their stay, and wish them well in finding their future home. Godspeed!
100% would recommend having at any location. Very friendly, nice and great communication!
Nice young couple, beginning full-timers. Needed a bit of help with their refrigerator. Ended up needing a new control board.
Welcome back anytime.
Enjoyed having Luckybug11 stay for a while. Very nice couple. Wish we had gotten to visit some but yucky weather and 2020 social distancing prevented that. Hope they can come back through in brighter times.
Very nice couple. Great to visit with and was so glad they chose to stay here. Welcome back anytime.
Super nice. Great at communicating and super nice and quiet.
We were so incredibly fortunate to be the first Boondocker Welcome member to host the delightful young couple that goes by the moniker Luckybug11.
You could not ask for a more polite and thoughtful couple. Unfortunately they arrived late in the afternoon and they were only here for one night, so we didn't get much of a chance to visit.
They were great at communicating prior to arriving, updating us with their ETA. Ballyhoo, their sidekick canine, was well behaved.
This couple is well on their way. We wish them the best as they get ready to 'hit the road'. Any BW host would be fortunate to have them.
They are certainly welcome back here any time. We do hope our paths will cross again. Please come back soon.
