My wife, Monnie and I have been blessed to share our eternal lives with one-another. Many years ago we learned that we cannot wait to "live our lives" when we reach "retirement" so we enjoy each day to the fullest. Some friends couldn't understand when we moved to southeast NC without any PLAN for our future. We are just happy to be alive each and every day that we are here.
I (Greg) am a former small business owner who now has a day job and my wife (Monnie) is a pre-school teacher. She loves to cook, bake, and crochet. Our lives are not perfect and we are completely comfortable in our humanity. We enjoy people (even though I like to tell too many stories) and are considered very friendly.
We have a black Lab, named Smitty. Like all Labs, she loves everyone. We also have 2 "house" cats: Piper (a stray who adopted us) and Pete the Cat who we are fostering for one of our daughters. When we travel, Smitty rides along even though the ride is not her favorite thing.
We are relatively new to the travel trailer (RVing) lifestyle. We did lots of tent camping with our children when they were growing up. We mostly went to state parks in the MD/VA/WV region (when we were living in MD).
Southeastern NC. We call our 3.5 acres of flat, well-drained land Someday Lane because someday all our dreams are going to come true.
We have a 2019 Sunset Trail 253RK. With our F-150 tow vehicle we are about 51' overall. We are competent drivers and can safely back the rig when needed.
Very nice couple. The weather wasn't the greatest while we were there. Would definetly recommend. 🙂
This place really hit a sweet spot – lovely property and a warm welcome from our hosts. 30-amp hookup was nice and there was plenty of room to turn around. Loved the big sky for stargazing, though the chilly temps didn't let us stay out too long. Highly recommend this idyllic place!
We thank you so much for allowing us to stay at Someday Lane and chatting with you.
This was absolutely a wonderful stay with very pleasant and friendly people at Someday Lane. We enjoyed chatting and sharing RVing stories of adventure. Very helpful and interesting hosts. Thank goodness they supplied us with electric on the cold nights! I loved hearing the wildlife in the area.
We highly recommend a boondocking stay at Someday Lane. Beautiful country stay! Along with wonderful people.
I want to thank you for letting us stay we enjoyed our stay thanks for the great cookies too
Thanks so much for sharing your piece of Carolina heaven with us. It was great meeting you both and sharing your electricity with us on this chilly night. We hope you would consider having us again. Safe travels yourself. B&D
Great Boondockers Welcome location. Easy access, level parking for about
any size rig. 3 point turn is required to face the right direction, but it was not difficult. They offered water and 15 amp electric. Close to beaches and shopping. Cell service was spotty, but ok with our cell booster. They did offer wifi, but it was slow where we were parked.
The hosts were very friendly, an amazing family. Our first night they
had a fire in their backyard and invited us to join them. A lot of laughs were had and friendships were made. The second night they invited for an oyster feast. It was amazing.
We would definitely recommend this location, and will be back when in
the area.
Beautiful property great hosts. Quiet , dark. We had no problem pulling in and turning around with our 40 toy hauler. Plenty of roon for slides.
Thank you..
Very easy to get to with lots of space to navigate a rig. The electrical hookup was a blessing as we were traveling with pets. The dog loved the big grassy yard. We had some great conversations with the host who gave us insight into the area. We took a 20 minute drive down to the beach and grabbed dinner in town nearby. It was very quiet at night. We are grateful to our generous hosts for having us on a holiday weekend.
This was our first experience with Boondockers welcome. Beautiful property had 30 amp hook up WiFi plenty of room, host was very nice! Met us and got us settled for the night. I would highly recommend staying here! Wonder experience!
The hosts were fantastic!! Someday Lane is an easy in/out, close to several beaches but still a bit in the country, and we had a great time hanging out with the hosts. We were greeted with brownies, and a warm welcome. We highly recommend Someday Lane!!
