I am very active and love to camp with my wife. We love motorcycles and we have toured the country tent camping a few times We're both from New England yet we met at a motorcycle rally in Spokane, Washington.
We have a 17' Casita Travel trailer which is self contained. We do not have solar (yet) so we run a small and quiet Honda generator for an hour or so either after breakfast or in the mid afternoon.
We tow (most of the time) with a full size sprinter van (think those blue Amazon prime vans) with some paddleboards and a couple of motorcycles. We like to camp and go exploring on the bikes while coming back for a nice dinner and a quiet evening.
I am a pretty good cook, bartender and fun around the campfire. I used to build boats and am pretty good with tools, especially if there is a leak.
Yes but it is rare that they camp with us. Our two dogs are Bosun and Gracie. Bosun is a yellow lab that is very well behaved. Gracie is a chiweenie. She was my sister's companion who is no longer with us.
We love our dogs and keep our own backyard clear of their waste.
There's a farm in Tennessee I visit every fall which is wonderful. Colorado is wonderful too.
We hail from Suffield, CT. My wife is originally from Hingham, MA. I was born in Ct. but consider Rhode Island where my roots are.
I tow with a full size Sprinter Van. It also has a high roof at 8.8'. The van is 22' long, the trailer is 17. The van is also 2wd and as much as I hate to admit get stuck easily, especially if it's at all wet.
