We are Shane and Nova, full-time RV’ers from Las Vegas, NV. We have been full time for just over a year now and absolutely love the nomadic lifestyle. Last summer we traveled up the west coast from southern California up to Washington visiting and making friends along the way. We ended up staying at a friend’s property in Washougal, Washington. They have 5 acres tucked in the forest with a giant organic garden and a chicken coop. We helped them with the garden, digging trenches to run power lines, laid a stone patio, and several other smaller tasks.
After leaving there we headed back through California and back to Vegas for a short time before heading east to Florida. My father was in the later stages of Alzheimer’s and I wanted to get down to spend as much time with him and help my mom as we could before it was too late. We arrived in Wilton Manors in December of 2019 and my dad lost his battle with the awful disease in late January.
We were staying at Easterlin Park, a beautiful parcel of land snuggled and hidden within a secluded sliver of tropical forest just 5 minutes from their house. We had full hookups, a beautiful lake, wild animals to feed and commune with, friendly neighbors, it was wonderful. Sadly, evacuation orders were delivered to our RV due to “the virus” on March 24th. Luckily, my brother had plenty of room in front of his house with a septic inlet, a power outlet, and a water spigot nearby so we could hunker down and wait out the chaotic storm.
Now that the dust is settling a bit, we are headed back to Las Vegas to reunite with all of our children, friends, and family. That being said, we are grateful for such a service as this.
- Kids -
We are currently traveling with our youngest son, Stellar, who is 4.
Between Nova and I, we have 6 kids. Our oldest is all grown up, off on his own working for Tesla, and doing very well. I have 2 teenagers that live primarily with their mother in Las Vegas. Nova has 2 girls from a previous marriage that she shares custody with. Stellar is with us full time.
- Mindfulness -
We are extremely mindful and considerate humans and practice leaving a space better than we found it. We are very quiet in general and speak softly unless required to elevate our voices out of necessity. We are very appreciative and do not take anything for granted. We are not needy by nature and we appreciate providing space and privacy as much as we enjoy receiving it.
Look forward to hearing from you :)
We are both extremely resourceful problem solvers, if there’s anything we can lend a hand with while we are around, we’d be happy to. We also own a web development company, where we provide marketing material, videography, photography, and printing if you find yourself in need of such services. We own a drone, DSLR, osmo pocket, and lots of computing power. Our website is www.dieterdesigns.com
We have 2 cats, Tinka and Lucy. They are travelers as well. Everywhere we have taken them around the country, they are happy to get out and explore the new territories. They mind themselves and typically sleep with us at night in the RV.
However, if you are opposed to having the cats outdoors, please let us know and we can plan on keeping them inside during our stay.
Las Vegas, Nevada
We are currently driving a 1991 Ford Jamboree :-) We have a car dolly towing a 2011 Kia Optima.
Well we had a great visit and let my granddaughter play with their son. Unfortunately little ones need some play time with all this chaos. Very quiet and sweet couple. Highly recommend them
What a pleasure to host this family. Quiet, considerate, and friendly all at once. We especially enjoyed watching their son play. Hope to have them back in the future.
We enjoyed having this great family stay with us. They are friendly, quiet, respectful and very appreciative.
Their son is just delightful, so friendly and curious about everything. He was a real pleasure to just hang out with while he helped me water my numerous plants.
Tinker and Lucy were great cat guest too. They just hung around outside in safe distance of the motorhome not bothering anyone. We would welcome them back.
Safe travels to the Shane_Dieter family.
