Hi, we are Eileen Brown and Bryan Turnbull (yes, we're married). We are both corporate America retirees, and now that our only son is off at college, we are seizing the chance to be on permanent vacation (or "holiday", as my British husband would call it). Our home in Northern New Hampshire was requiring too much upkeep (plowing, mowing, etc.) and keeping us too tied down - so in June of 2020 we sold up and hit the road. This would all have sounded much better pre-COVID! However, we are now both fully vaccinated and can assure any potential hosts that we are extremely conscientious about respecting their health, happy to wear masks and keep our distance!
Bryan has mad computer skills, and Eileen is an Advanced EMT. We actually travel with our own AED and Eileen’s “First-In” bag.
We have one cat, Jeremiah. Jeremiah is actually a girl, but she was named by our child when he was younger, so, why not? Jeremiah was used to going in and out at will when we lived in New Hampshire - so while she travels well, she loathes collars and leashes. We obviously respect our hosts wishes about keeping her on a collar and leash, but if any host was willing to allow her to be out and about, she would love that. She is actually a very timid cat, who tends to walk around under our RV or just sit on the steps, looking around.
We have enjoyed "The Wall" just outside Badlands National Park, and love to "dry camp" in National Parks.
In June of 2020, We sold our home in the tiny town of Monroe, New Hampshire. Prior to that, we lived in northwestern New Jersey, near the Delaware Water Gap. Eileen is originally from upstate New York, and Bryan was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and then grew up in the Midlands of England. We met and were married in Russia, where we were both working for Mars, Inc. (think chocolate!). Fun fact: Bryan's first trip to the US was on our honeymoon.
2020 Winnebago Adventurer 30T (gas), towing a 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid sedan. Combined length is approximately 52' when the car is hooked up behind the RV. We are always happy to unhook the car. The car alone is 16' long. Thank you in advance for considering us! Bryan, Eileen & Jeremiah the Cat
They were truly wonderful guests and very pleasant to talk to. They are very welcome to come again. So glad that you enjoyed the history of our area. Safe travels and maybe our paths will cross again.
Both are very considerate, energetic and fun folks. They assisted us in welcoming another guest, because we had a funeral to go to. We enjoyed our evening on the porch telling stories with other guests. Turnbullstravels even joined us for impromptu yoga in the morning. We would have them back any time.
We would gladly recommend this couple. They are friendly and neat . Their cat Jeremiah is our hero, for killing a mole. We would gladly welcome the again.
Was a pleasure hosting Turnbulls travels very friendly and respectful couple enjoyed the conversation and hearing about their travels welcome back anytime
We thoroughly enjoyed hosting this couple. We had a great visit with them. We hope our paths cross again soon.
Sorry I missed you. Hopefully you will come back again and we will meet?
