We are conservative, hardworking people who are blessed with a small ranch. We enjoy working on the ranch, cooking, and playing with our animals. We travel when we can, but we're currently focused on saving up for retirement so we can become full-time RVers some day.
We have two people friendly dogs who guard the ranch and livestock.
lhockersmith has a beautiful little ranch! She even let us pet and brush the animals and feed her neighbor's cows while trading stories. An enjoyable place to rest if you're on your way through!
Beautiful spot with the Sierra mountains just east, wonderful sunrise!
This is our second stay at the Rockin H Ranch and we had a great time again with the host and all the animals. We were driving back to San Diego from Yosemite and this location is a great halfway point. Highly recommended.
So enjoyed meeting The hostess. She has a wonderful spread with many different animals. She was really kind and shared fresh eggs with us the next morning. I loved being close to the horses and donkey. Lots of room and our dog enjoyed walking on lead on the grounds. Take care, thank you for your hospitality.
Upon arrival we greeted warmly by the host and a herd of cattle. Sat out in our lawn chairs as the sun went down, enjoying a cool beverage while visiting and watching hawks fly into roost in the distant trees. Woke up to a peaceful sunrise and a donkey softy braying. This is our favorite kind of place to boondock. Thank you for the kind hospitality. Happy Trails!
We enjoyed our stay. It was a nice relaxing evening. The road in was a little washboard but the host was great.
Lovely ranch property with horses, llama, chickens, miniature donkey, dogs. Friendly host. Level parking, quiet area. I'd definitely stay here again.
Lisa is a very gracious host - she made us feel very welcome and the place is great. Her animals are fabulous - the 2 dog greeting committee set the tone 😃😃😃. The views are expansive with lovely sunset and sunrise in a nice private setting. Could not have asked for a better 1st experience with Boondockers Welcome 👍👍👍👍👍.
Fresh eggs !!!!!!!!!
Host was warm and welcoming. We backed our trailer into a flat spot with views of the mountains and of the llama, and two retired horses. Host took me to see her champion donkey.
Lovely stay. Great conversation.
Cannot imagine a better place and host to start our road trip. Lisa is a warrior in her own right. We learned so much about the area, her animals and adventures on the PCT. Beautiful vistas, memorable sunrise, level space and good access; what more could u want? The animals were a nice bonus. We’ll be back.
The Rocking H is a sweet little farm with two nice level and quiet parking spots right next to the horses. Our host was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We spent one very peaceful night and will definitely be back if our travels bring us this direction again.
This is a gorgeous farm that reminded us of a beautiful old painting complete with red shed in the horses’ corral. Bucolic is a good word to describe it. On top of the lovely and peaceful scenery, our host was friendly, helpful and a pleasure to talk with. A very special Boondockers Welcome experience! Thanks so much!
Doc and I had a wonderful time on the ranch. The host was very nice and accommodating. She has a beautiful Ranch and a very scenic area. It was very beautiful, relaxing and enjoyable just walking around the ranch. We appreciate her having us stay on her property.
What a delightful hostess. She showed me options for parking, introduced me to her farm and farm animals and she offered water and garbage, which I accepted as I checked out. We had a nice chat about RV stuff too. I could not have asked for more. Nice quiet nights sleep to boot. Top notch stay! Thank you!
We loved staying the night here. Super safe, peaceful and quiet. The host was friendly, and hospitable. Loved the animals.
Perfect place to stay in the middle of the country. We had plenty of room to park and our host let us top off on water. We were able to purchase fresh eggs. Great spot if you’re in the area.
Lisa was so sweet, and we really enjoyed visiting with her horses and mini donkeys! Wish we could have stayed longer!
Our host was super friendly and accommodating. We loved the miniature donkeys and they loved carrots. The ranch is isolated but there's plenty to see and appreciate. Highly recommend! We did not have cell service for Verizon or T-Mobile which is not a problem for us. Thank you very much! ❤️
My wife and I had an awesome experience at this ranch. The property is expansive and we parked our 13' Scamp trailer up on a hill overlooking the valley and distant mountains. The host and all the animals were extremely welcoming. When we arrived, all the miniature donkeys ran over to greet us and watch us park our Scamp. Then, the farm cat and dog ran over to be pet. Later, we were able to pet and feed the animals. Very quiet location for a peaceful nights sleep. Highly recommended experience!
This was my first BW stay and I hit the jackpot. It’s about 2 hours south of Sequoia NP and was so beautiful and restful. I parked well away from the house on a flat bit of ground and had views of a horse pasture and the rolling foothills of the Sierra’s. A nice breeze cooled thing off for a blissful sleep. The host is friendly and helpful - and gave me a few chicken-fresh eggs to boot. This was s a STRONG recommendation.
