Hello! We run an alpaca ranch on a few acres in Clearmont, Wyoming. We have room for a couple of campers to stay and visit for a night or two.
We currently do not have any hookups, and if it has been raining it may be muddy, luckily, most of the year it is not too muddy! You can always park on the roadway if it is raining, just for a night.
There is water available to go fill up for, but we will need a small purchase fee. It is well water, no filter, but good soft water, we drink it and so does our stock.
Yes. We have pets. We have four dogs, and several cats. Also horses, steers, alpacas, emu's, peacocks, chickens and pot belly pigs.
If needed you can haul some panels over around your camper for the night. But normally no one minds the campers. Normally, the large animals, horses and steers, are not in the same pasture as the campers. The rest of the critters are not big enough to cause damage to your vehicles, but they are fun to watch as they graze by your camper at some point in the day.
Sometimes our dogs bark at night. This is their job to keep fox/coyote away from the chickens and other stock. If this is going to be a real problem for you, please let us know.
Our place is located in Clearmont, Wyoming. A tiny town that is conveniently between the Black Hills of South Dakota and has Yellowstone on the west side of the state on the other side. So we are a good "between" for travelers.
We spent 2 nights at Sageridge and had a wonderful time. There are so many different type of animals on the property along with 100 alpaca. We even saw a bald eagle fly by one morning! We offered our assistance with any projects the hosts had and they took us up on our offer. We like being able to give back since the BW hosts are so nice to share their property with strangers. There was no pressure to help. The hosts were very friendly and introduced us to most of the animals. The owners have a small shop where they sell some alpaca products but no pressure to buy. I loved walking on the many acres and watching the various animals. At one point I just stood still and even more were revealed (prairie dogs and antelope). We really enjoyed our time on their property and getting to know the hosts. The alpacas, pig, and dogs spent time right around our 34' travel trailer. It was sad to leave! We hope to be back again one day. Thank you Sageridge for a wonderful experience!
How nice to be greeted by a herd of gorgeous alpacas! The sheep, emus, peacocks and pigs were great! Our hostess was wonderful! Don't pass it by if you're in the area!
This is a remote area and very quiet. Lots of animals....a herd of alpacas, some sheep, dogs, chickens, pigs, peacocks, and I think more than I am mentioning. Our host came up to meet us and is very nice. She welcomed us and our dogs. The view is amazing!
Linda is a wonderful woman. She was great with the kids and gave us a tour of all her animals.
Property in beautiful!
Peaceful ,homey atomphere ,very relaxing enjoyed her ranch. Very very good host.
The host was very kind and polite, although she was very busy with the farm she took time to show my grandkids the animals that she has there. the kids had a great time playing fetch with her dogs.
Host was very hospitable and willing to accommodate but unfortunately i didn't have the gear necessary to level our rig out so we weren't able to stay the evening.
Staying on her Ranch was very enjoyable and she was very. Nice . Doc and I are very grateful that she let us stay there.
