We usually work camp part of the year and enjoy visiting and exploring the rest. We also do a gig of selling Christmas trees in Dallas each year. Ted is a former USNA graduate that loves to sail and we try to get to the Academy as often as possible. We also have a grandson there. Elaine was Marine Corps all the way. We love meeting people and helping them smile. We have owned several businesses and are handy at fixing or building just about anything.
We are Jack's of all trades. Ted has taught school, owned diesel repair shop, walnut orchard and raised parakeets. Elaine has been a manager, store owner, marketing manager and is expert Gardner and cook. We are great at running a skid steer and backhoe and building and repairing recycled asphalt roads...we had a business that focused on solving water and erosion problems which also included some landscaping.
Just about anywhere...but near water is probably our favorite
Monument, Colorado. There at least once a year to visit grandchildren and great grandchildren and breathe that mountain air. But the beach is were I grew up (Elaine) and Ted of course gravitates to water so ...we do that too.

Very nice & generous couple. They communicated well before and during their stay, were a pleasure to get to know and we look forward to hosting them again soon.
Highly recommended to other hosts!
One of the best parts of the RVing experience is the people you meet. The Vagabons are definitely among the nice and cool folks one meets on the road. As a host, I don't travel, but I love meeting those who do and I learn so much from them. My long-time friend, who treks the highways and byways of the US and who stays at my place when he's off the road, happened to be here when the Vagabons came through, so the conversations were spirited and humor-filled. They are welcome back here anytime they are in the area.
Enjoyed meeting and they kept me updated on their plans and arrival times. Always welcome anytime.
