My husband and I enjoy camping and traveling. We’re also members of a retiree group called Evergreen where couples stay in our guest room for $20/night which includes breakfast. We have a 1 acre lot so there’s plenty of space for RVers. Our area is a four season vacation area with lots of recreation opportunities like golf, fishing, hiking, skiing and more.
I was a teacher for 32 years and my husband Tom spent 30 years in construction in southern CA. We have 5 children and 8 grandchildren. Since retiring in 2006 we’ve traveled and I have worked as a Realtor for 11 years while Tom has kept busy with handyman jobs for friends and family.
Information about the area... places to hike, fish, etc. We’re close to the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert about 3 hours from the Grand Canyon.
Yes we have two dogs—an older hound and a young puppy who is in training for barking cessation.
Looking forward to building a list of boondocking places to stay.
Show Low is the retail hub of the White Mountain area. As mentioned there are many opportunities for a wide variety of recreational activities—golf, hiking, skiing, fishing and other winter activities. Mild summer temperatures allow for canoeing on lakes, biking and hiking. The ski area allows mountain bikers to ride to the top of the ski lift and ride down.
