Retired from a career of commercial printing and real estate. My wife, Ann, is in her last year of teaching (also had real estate career).
I have some modest handyman skills.
Currently we have a Shi-poo (1/2 shitzu and 1/2 poodle) "Spunky", who we rescued when he was somewhere around 10 years old. Now around 14-15. He is almost blind and almost deaf. He doesn't bark at what he can't see or hear.
We have yet to boondock anywhere outside of Cracker Barrel, Cabela's, etc.
Ann is from Cincinnati and I'm from Bellefontaine, Ohio, but we've lived in the Metro Atlanta area since the 70s.
2002 VW/Winnebago Rialta. No tow vehicle.
We had a great time with joebeach. They treated us to an ice cream and hours of conversation. We hope they will consider another visit if they come to the area again.
Really enjoyed meeting these folks even for a short time. Your donations will go equally to both causes this month. Thanks so much for supporting the troops. Hope the puppy finds some rest and peace. Good luck with this crazy school year. Come by anytime.....
Joebeach are a wonderful loving couple who filled my evening with lively conversation.
I was proud to be their first Boondocker's stop. Having coffee in the AM and the possibility of a return visit brightened my day. Safe travels. Stay safe and well.
Very friendly and easy to converse with. We practiced social distancing and they were very respectful of that. Paul enjoyed talking about our projects with them. Hopefully next visit we can be more social, cook out, or have a drink together. They are welcome to return.
We really enjoyed hosting joebeach. They were curious about our farm, so we had the chance to show them around. We would definitely host them again.
Really enjoyed meeting and talking with these two. Lots of things in common warm and friendly and they are always welcome back!
Very nice couple and I really enjoyed the conversations and the ice cream! Glad they were able to stop for a couple of nights on their way West and look forward to seeing them again.
Joebeach are the kind of travelers Boondockers Welcome is made for! They are kind and considerate and have a small footprint. We enjoyed welcoming them to our site and had enough time for a few life stories. We hope they cam stop again!
Joe & Ann were our first overnight guests. Loved meeting them and trading RV stories. They were the perfect guests. We wish they could have stayed another night, our city has so much to see.
