Larry & Lusie were a real pleasure to meet and talk to. Lovely couple.
We had just gotten home from a long trip which made it hard to spend time with them. We do hope they will consider returning so we can show them around and have time to visit .
Keep moving, Hugs Pat & Rudy
They stayed with us for a very short visit, just overnight as they were traveling on a time schedule. Really nice couple, would have them back anytime.
Every time we have new boondocks visitors I think they are the best. Well here again I have to say "These are the best". What kind people they are. I was hoping they would stay another night, but they had an agenda to "git them agoing" up north to a rally that sounded like a fun destination. I hope they come our way again. AFShore
Seastead are just the nicest people! They spent three nights at our camp on the Keweenaw peninsula in the Michigan U.P and we were lucky enough to be able to spend a few hours visiting with them. They are truly a delightful couple!
Larry & Liz are wonderful hosts, such a friendly and kind people. There property is very unique, we had a great time during our short stay! If you look out for an higher level in hospitality and kindness, then 'Flyers Roost' would be a great spot for you to visit, which you won't regret...
Such a special place. Seastead's were warm, welcoming and a joy to get to know. Met several neighbors as well. We'll definitely be back! Airplanes were an added plus.
Flyer's Roost was our first Boondockers Welcome stay. It more than fulfilled our expectations. We really enjoyed our coffee time conversation with our gracious hosts, a retired airline pilot and his talented wife. Both very interesting people! We are so thankful they shared their unique location with us.
Very very good. I practiced my English language
We had a lot common discussion ( airplane , hens, roaster chicken, etc. )
Thank you so much and see you next year.
We had a beautiful stay here, right next to a private airport (no flights while we were there) peacefully quite! Larry invited us in the next morning, which was a pleasure! What an amazing couple, so warming kind and generous, we have never met such kind people.
We are so so greatful for you having us and our little gift! They have kept us warm around them RV thank you!
We really hope you are able to get to New Zealand soon!
Lots of love

Larry came out to greet us upon getting here. Nice quiet top of the hill spot. Great views. Nice chats with Larry. He was helpful in given local info. Need be things to see. Going to have coffee and chat before we leave this morning.
Thank you. Will have to come back.
Larry and Liz were awesome hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed. Visited with them a few times and enjoyed our conversation very much. Arrived as guests and left as friends. Thanks Larry and Liz.
We had a great time with wonderful people. Very congenial. Pleasant conversation. Their home is exceptional. Must be seen to be appreciated. Small airport. We had a quiet and very peaceful night's sleep!
Thoroughly enjoyed our short one night stay at Flyer's Roost. Our host cam out and met my husband and guided us to park at a very level spot just outside of their home. We were able to fill up with water and connect to electricity. Their home is in an exquisite location where you are surrounded by mountains. Only a 10 minute drive to Montezuma's Castle. Watch the planes take off from the front yard, such a unique experience! Would have loved to stay longer but we were not able to get an excellent data connection for streaming for our jobs. Note, there is wifi connection and it was fairly good; however, our job is teaching overseas so we need strong data. We left the next day after a time of visiting and getting to know our guests just a little better. They are precious people with generous hearts. We are so happy to have met them and learned from them. Would love to come back and visit again.
My husband and I recently had the opportunity to spend a couple of nights at Seastead's wonderful location which is next to his home and hangar within a gated private airport/neighborhood. They are a delightful couple full of zest for life and people. We were fully enamored by their warmth, stories and generosity. Thank you for such a welcoming stay, Larry and Liz. We will definitely stop by again when in the area. Bonnie and Igor
Our hosts were very welcoming and accommodating, even when we arrived after dark. Much to our regret, we could only stay overnight. We wish we had more time exploring our surroundings and to get to know our hosts. Both captured our curiosity!
When we arrived, Larry helped us drop our cargo trailer and get our camper positioned and plugged in, but he had family arrive almost as soon as we got there, so no chance to visit. The morning we left, Larry came out and opened the door to his hangar! Inside were a sailboat and three airplanes.. One was in flying condition ,although Larry said he had not flown it for three years. One other was partially disassembled, missing the engine. The third was kit Larry had not begun to assemble. Will he fly again? Hard to say, but I would not count him out! Liz came out too, and had a nice gift for Patty, we thought it should be the other way around! We visited for about an hour, and it was very pleasant getting to know a little about our hosts! Very fun!
Larry and Liz are tow of the best folks we have met within the Boondockers Welcome network. They are charming, witty, and well read. Both of them are very engaged in helping folks who are entering the RV Nomadz lifestyle. Larry is quite the tinkerer. He actually has three experimental planes in various states of construction within the airplane hanger that forms part of their home, along with two ships.
Larry and I sat in his hangar in the evening and discussed how technology has so radically changed the world. Larry has an incredible range of experience, from flying as a United Airlines pilot to being a refueling pilot for SAC.
In the morning, some of the neighbours take off on the small runway with their own experimental planes, providing a most unusual photo shoot. We look forward to visiting them again some time in the coming year.
Our stay with Seastead at Flyer's Roost was beyond expectations. We leave there feeling like we have made some great new friends. They made us feel comfortable and we had a great visit with them. Thank you - thank you. AND if we make it back this way we will definitely want to stop in again.
Our family had such a nice stay at Flyer's Roost!! Larry and Liz were wonderful hosts! Very gracious and accommodating. They answered our family's endless questions and even shared some fresh eggs. We loved it and hope to be able to go back and stay again in the future. This was our first Boondocking experience and it was perfect.
It was a great experience to Liz and Larry meet in their beautiful living environment. A special place with very nice people. We are received with a lot of love and cordiality.
We still enjoy the delicious eggs of Liz her chickens. Thanks Robert and Nelleke
Our family felt very welcome and safe visiting. The location was wonderful! Larry even went out of his way to let us know a neighbor was flying in for us to see (a highlight for some of our kiddos) and Liz gave my boys a tour of their checkers and plants inside (highlight for other kiddos). This was our 1st experience with Boondockers and it couldn't have been any better!
I wish we had more time
This was just heaven
Super nice hosts
Larry and Liz are incredible hosts and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt almost like family. And what a spot to spend the night....parked in front of their hanger door at a private airstrip in Camp Verde, Arizona, and just a few feet off the taxiway to the runway. Coffee in the morning with Larry and Liz and neighbour Jim was filled with wonderful stories of their love of aviation. And Liz's chickens that lay "Easter Eggs" have to be seen to be believed...but we've got the eggs to prove it.
Wonderful hosts, had a great stay and look forward to coming back.
We arrived late and our host was very gracious. The next morning we toured the property and enjoyed seeing his plane and chickens. They even gave us some fresh eggs. Would recommend staying here.
Not only is the location peaceful, easy to get in and out (secure), and located within the Verde Valley that is close to a lot of natural sites to explore--Larry and Liz are truly the most kind, interesting and helpful people you will meet on the road. Their neighbors carry on that same sentiment.
You'd be lucky to share a glass of wine to two and engage in some great conversations!
We could not hear traffic from I-17 as other patrons noted. It really was quiet! They have chickens that lay healthy, delicious eggs and you would be quite lucky to be offered a handful or more. Our rig is bigger than most that come around and Larry brought us a plug-in that helped to keep from tripping. Water pressure is excellent. The airpark is a great location if you love personal aircraft!
We are really encouraged to see these two lovely people again!
We absolutely loved meeting Seastead. We felt so welcome! And what an amazing community - all the neighbours came by to say hello and invite us to join them for a weekly community dinner (we had our dinner already planned so regretfully declined).
Our hosts are such gracious, friendly people - we hope to come back and visit....and certainly hope one day to host them at our place!
I just stayed with Seastead and they were such gracious hosts!
They were flexible, accommodating, and made sure I had everything I needed and more!
I enjoyed meeting neighbors and friends, visiting, touring, hanging out, meals... I feel so cared for after staying with them.
They live in an Air Park where the houses have (or are in) aircraft hangers surrounded by a private airstrip. It was so fun to see the neighbors drive by in their airplanes and take off. Or come by to visit on their self-built e-trikes... It is the most interesting neighborhood I've ever visited.
It's also very close to Montezuma's Castle NM, which you should definitely visit while you're here.
Thank you so much, Seastead!
Seastead were extremely charming, interesting and accommodating. He responded on very short notice, She came to meet me at gate and guide me to the house because I arrived after dark. Enjoyed visiting with them. And he talked to a friend to get directions for me to a great boondocking site south of Williams, in the national forest!
We had such a great time here. We got invited out to dinner with the local community and made lots of friends. We felt so welcome, treated like family. Lovely spot with easy access to lots of local attractions. Hopefully they will visit us in NZ one day. Love you guys !
This was our first experience boondocking, and we were so lucky to find the airpark. We loved staying here and were so grateful for Seastead's hospitality. We felt like we were at home and can't wait to come back again :) Thank you!!
My husband, 2 fur babies and I stay on Seastead's property last weekend high above Verde Valley in a serene setting, with amazing views and delightful hosts. They even provided us with several area newspapers, offered to allow our 4-legged kids to run loose in the back yard and were sooooo very accommodating. We loved being there and hope to return soon. Thanks so much my new friends!
If you have the opportunity to stay at the airpark don't pass it up. Warm, welcoming, kind, the list goes on and on. We had the most wonderful time staying here and hope to come back.
Plenty of room at airpark. Nice to chat with Larry about his days as a pilot.
Larry & Liz provided us a very nice location in an air park on top of a mesa near Montezuma AZ . it was fun to see all his toys and we had great conversations about campers, boats and airplanes and how all the travel is possible.
A great place with great hosts.
Thanks Thijs & Rieneke
