Him: retired Canadian military
Her: police civilian, dreaming of retirement
We are longtime campers. Started out in tents, upgraded to pop-up trailer and now that we are empty nesters, we finally bought the trailer we've wanted forever! We love the idea of boondocking and thought we would jump in and offer our place for fellow boondockers!
Hubby is the one with all the talents. He brings his lifetime as a mechanic and soldier to the table wherever our table lands! Mechanically inclined, he is my MacGyver and jack-of-all-trades!
We have four small dogs, but they all stay in the fenced backyard. We don't usually travel with them as my parents live with us, so we have build-in dog sitters!
Since we are new to boondocking, we are ready to explore and discover our newly favourited places!
We live in Roslin, Ontario in eastern Ontario. It's a beautiful part of the province where the people are few, but the trees are plenty! Many local lakes and just a very short drive to the Bay of Quinte! Our home is a small acreage nestled among mature trees and wonderful neighbours!
Travel trailer is 24' being pulled by a Nissan Titan Pro 4X. Total length with tow is 48'6". We have a narrow tip about (about 2.5').
Only C.... and his two small dogs. Hardly noticed there were here. Very friendly and quiet person.
It was a pleasure to meet this couple even though we couldn't visit. They are welcome anytime and hope to see them again once they are both retired.
Very great guests. Too bad for the covid distancing that we couldn't visit. Would love to get to know them better. Welcome back any time.
Our family stayed overnight and it was very nice. The spot had a picnic table, firepit with firewood and a 30 Amp hookup! Our hosts were welcoming.
This was our first Boondockers experience, and we were very impressed. The "Roslin Boondockers" were very accommodating. They have a nice "camp site" set up for the visitors. Flat gravel area for parking, picnic table, fire pit with lots of free firewood, and they also have a 30amp outlet beside the site. Awesome!
Very quite, lots of trees. Would definitely recommend this location.
What a great visit we had. Welcomed with a smile. Every thing a boondocking guest would need. With our mutual interests in the RV lifestyle conversation came easy and was interesting and energized. Ranging from the best home made fire tong to pot scrubbers. It was so natural as we kindled a friendship. We respected each other's needs and I would highly recommend this great spot with such warm and friendly hosts.
We stayed for 3 nights and it was a great stay. Our hosts gave us a bottle of wine when we arrived. We would highly recommend this stay. Unfortunately, we had to leave without saying goodbye as we had a medical appointment in Toronto. Thanks so much for your hospitality!
Great spot to stop. Quite responsive to our questions, gave us the heads up that a weather and possible tornado warnings were issued for their area while we were on route AND they gave us a nice bottle of white wine after we got our rig settled. A very welcoming and friendly couple. Easy spot to access and plenty of room to maneuver our 38 foot motorhome.
Nice very quiet stay in front of the house. Beautiful area and nice neighbours.
Although we were social distancing, very nice chatting with the hosts.
Very quiet place, easy to park, host accomodant.
Endroit paisible, facile d'accès et stationnement au niveau. Hôte acceuillant, accomodant et respectueux.
Was very relaxing. I forgetten my extension cord and he kindly helped me by landing me his for the night!
Really cool area, there was a little bit of bugs after supper before dark but with bug spray all was good..
Go meet them!
