I'm an eclectic woman who is hard to describe. You'll find that I have a quiet and kind heart. I enjoy my space and will respect yours, too. I am a self-employed registered nurse with a wildly varying work schedule. My kids are grown and out of the house. Instead, I share my space with a few pets. I love to travel and explore the country when I can.
I'm a RN by profession, occasional gardener, lover of cars and animals. I am pretty darn self sufficient and can pretty much do whatever is needed to manage my health, the barnyard, the farm, the woodlot, or the shop. If you need advise or assistance with something, just ask! If I can't help, I probably know where to find a resource for you.
Yes! Two dogs: a Racing Greyhound & a St. Bernard; three cats, two horses (two old ladies pretty up the pasture), and a bearded dragon.
I was born and raised here in Indiana and, with the exception of about 5 years, I have always lived in the country and within about 50 miles of my current home.
I have a 1999 Winnebago Brave class A. No slides. I am full self contained with multiple energy generation modes (solar, genny). Sometimes, I tow a car with a dolly (GMC Acadia). I will be sure to let you know with my request if I'm towing or not. If necessary, I can unhook the dinghy.
They came in and left without us hardly knowing they were here. We hope they stop by on their return trip with more time to spend. They are welcome any time.
We didn't have much time to visit. PhoenixAcres came in late and left early to get on down the road, but hope they are able to stop again and visit more. Safe travels!
We had an awesome stay at Da' Cabin! We arrived later than expected, but the host was really great about it. She is super friendly and awesome! We really enjoyed chatting with her! This is a beautiful property at a great location. The fall leaves were gorgeous. The dogs and cats and horses were really friendly and sweet, too. I wish we could have stayed here longer, but we were just passing through. 10/10 would recommend.
Phoenix was a gracious host with an easy access parking area clean water clean power peaceful would highly recommend thank you again!!
Her place was in the country and the surroundings we're beautiful. I enjoyed my stay on her property because it was very quiet and peaceful. I really appreciate you letting Doc and I stay on your property. Thank you
She was amazing. We had a great time. Loved the fresh tomatoes from the garden .
PhoenixAcres was a fantastic host. She made us feel welcome and comfortable as soon as we arrived. Her beautiful acreage was supplemented by her friendly conversation. In the evening we watched the horses graze as we ate dinner and our kids chased lighting bugs. 100% recommend staying here if you are in the area.
Stayed here for the night and it was a lovely quiet place. Our host replied quickly and kept us informed with the best driving instructions. We really enjoyed our visit and would come back anytime. Thank you for hosting us! Safe travels on your upcoming trip 🙂
A lovely setting with pasture views. We didn't meet our host but communication was excellent . The location is really off the beaten path - very remote.
This host went above and beyond. Beautiful peaceful setting and wonderful hospitality. Would definitely stay again.
Thanks!!
It would have been lovely to have more of a visit with PhonixAcres unfortunately, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, we had to keep our social distance... but the peace and quiet here make for a wonderful night's rest and my dog certainly appreciated being able to stretch his legs.
I hope to visit again when we can actually talk! Best to you and yours!
