We have been campers for many years. Started with a pop up while kids were small and now primarily use a truck camper. Our Lake LBJ property has been a get away for almost 20 years. We’d love to share it with folks passing through the Texas Hill Country.
My wife is a landscape designer and I’m a retired aerospace and defense supply chain executive.
2 rescue dogs, Bella and Zowie
Haven’t boondocked much ourselves until last year.
Originally from Upstate NY. Lived in San Diego, Flagstaff, and Austin Texas area for the past 24 years
We enjoyed our stay and were small enough (22ft) to fit in just above the lake canal shoreline. Convenient for our visit to family nearby.
Nice place, nice guy.
Bill is a generous and thoughtful host.
We enjoyed exploring the area, especially Marble Falls.
The host has a couple of options to park. We chose the one closes to the water and under a nice shade tree. The communication was easy and prompt at least on Billin Texas end. I told him I would text about 30 min. out and didn't have cell service. He met us as soon as we arrived and helped me to pick the spot and show me the hook ups. Nice quiet spot good area to get in the morning walk. A good host, easy to talk with would highly recommend their site. Hope to see ya again some day Billin Texas.
Thanks, again for sharing with us
We enjoyed our stay so very much. Our hosts were excellent and helpful. We got the rest and relaxation we needed.
BillinTexas was super responsive and helpful. The property was on the bank of a small inlet of the Colorado River and we seen lots of turtles and geese. We have a 28', 13.6' high class A and were desperate to be camped down by the river. There were a few low hanging branches to battle and a slant to that area that meant leveling took quite a while but we got there. It was totally worth it, we had a great few days on site and exploring the area: Marble Falls, inks lake state park, longhorn caverns and the Bear King brewery
We had a fabulous stay! We hit 3 state parks in 3 days and had the opportunity to meet the host! He was such a nice person and it was great to have the opportunity to meet him. We visited 2 breweries and loved the goodies from Choclolattes. Thanks so much. We will be back if we are ever in the area!
Bill and his wife made room for us by having us camp near the water! It was so beautiful and quiet! They were very sweet and made us feel very comfortable!
Highly recommend this place ❤️
We loved staying here, Bill was accommodating and helpful. Very peaceful and serene atmosphere made it all that much better
The Hosts certainly have a heart for their guests! They went above and beyond in making us feel welcome and making sure we had everything we needed!
We had so much fun in this area that we had to stay a second time. Everyone we met was friendly and informative. The let us know where the best tourist attractions were, the best dining experiences, and the best places to relax and take a breather.
Our hosts were very helpful too. Always ready with answers, advice, or help if we needed.
Plus this is one of the most quiet spots overlooking a peaceful river in a great neighborhood. Take a stroll during the cool evenings around this one and you will want to stay longer too.
Thank you so much.
As you sit on an upper deck overlooking a calm river and watch the sun seeing, you really wonder if it gets any better than this.
Great location, easy to access and the hosts were wonderful, even if they were not on-property while I was there, they made me feel right at home!
We were able to get much needed rest here. Location is quiet with plenty of country road loops of various lengths to walk, with peeks of the Colorado river which is at the edge of the property. BillinTexas responded quickly and comprehensively whenever we texted. We felt completely comfortable here and hope we can sometime directly return the hosting.
Good size grocery store (HEB), laundry and gas close by. Highly recommend.
We had an incredible stay at Bill in Texas and really appreciate the hospitality! Highly recommend staying with them, it’s a great area to explore.
The host couldn’t have been more helpful. Because I wasn’t feeling great it’s also clear that he is a compassionate person. Full hook ups at no charge though sewer and water would be hard for a large rig to access. There are lots of wonderful trees.
One relatively small thing to be aware of: The parking area for class A’s and large class C’s Has a significant slope. I was surprised that I could get level with my hydraulic levelers plus some blocks, but I did!
Host was so welcoming and the location so peaceful.
Easy access to a nice spot and electric!
Host was very nice and accommodating as well.
Thank you Bill in Texas
A wonderful host a wonderful stay!
Fred Mary and Kaci
Hosts were not present at the time but more than accommodating! I was able to arrive in the evening, plug-in, and take a dip just down the road in the morning.... A great tranquil stay!
Nice place to stay! Unfortunately we didn’t get to experience as much as our host offered.
It was just toooo! Texas hot.
Hope to return with cooler weather.
Nice place to stay. We weren’t able to stay as long as we had planned due to Tx heat.
An absolutely lovely landing place! Nestled in the trees and so quiet and restful. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and kind. We felt at ease immediately upon meeting them, and so privileged to be able to talk with them and share in the beauty of their place.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the area. So many scenic vistas, waterways and wineries.
Our other requested stay fell through and these folks came through last minute for us. Very quiet location. We are very thankful we got to stay here.
We enjoyed our stay at BillinTexas's place. Quiet and very peaceful. We enjoyed lovely walks with our dog in the neighborhood. Thank you!
Hosts were not there but very helpful online hope to meet them someday
Quiet and shady. If u have a tall rig be careful of GPS directing u to TEXAS Ave. very low underpass. Very nice place.
