My husband retired from the Coast Guard 11 years ago and I just retired this month. We are realizing our dream of traveling full time for a few years to figure out where we want to buy our forever home. The age range options on here don't fit the span of our ages; he's 60, I'm 48. We are enjoying learning about our rig (her name is Savannah) and personalizing her a little to make her ours.
We are extremely new to RV traveling so I'm not sure we have any related specific skills yet. However, we are willing to help with just about anything that needs doing.
We've stayed at two Harvest Host locations and loved them both.
We just sold our house in Maryland and will soon be calling our rig home full time. I am originally from Arizona. My husband is a military brat but considers North Carolina his "hometown."
Our rig is a 2019 Forest River Sun Seeker with 2 slide outs and awning. We prefer to travel without our car in tow but there may be times when we do have it with us. On those occasions, we plan to drive it vs. tow it, at least for the time being. We will eventually store the car somewhere while we travel. The car is a 2017 Hyundai Tucson.
Was great to get reacquainted with our Covid shutdown friends from last year. We were able to enjoy a wonderful meal along with great conversation 😋 including a lot of joking, a little off key singing and even a little playing of an air guitar 🎸. Fo a lot of people Covid was devastating but for us without the shutdown we probably would not have met this wonderful couple. To anyone getting a stay request from these wonderful people you will be missing an opportunity to meet two fantastic people if you turn down their request. Safe and Happy Travels 😊 until the next time !
MidgettRVlife was a fantastic guest. Exactly what you want in a guest. Friendly, respectful and fun. We loved having them and hope to see them again real soon. You are welcome back anytime. If your a host and have not had the opportunity to meet them you are missing out.
We got to spend some time with them on the first evening. Had a great time chatting. We were camping ourselves for the weekend. They continued their stay while we were gone. They communicated well with you, before, during and after their stay. They would definitely be welcomed back! Safe travels to MidgettRVLife!
They are perfect guests and just a joy to have. They are welcome back any time!
There are times in your life ,even with this Covid uncertainty , that your life is guided in a certain direction. These past 42 days has been one of them ! Had it not been for this lockdown we probably would not have met this wonderful couple. To be able to help them out but more importantly to develop a friendship that will probably last a lifetime is a blessing that we will cherish. We wish this couple many adventures with safe travels and good health all along the way. As I write this it has been 15 hrs. since their departure and there is truly a hollow spot in our hearts from not seeing this wonderful couples RV parked out back. We look forward to meeting this couple again either in our travels or having them return for a visit. This couple has truly become part of our family! Any BW host please accept this couple with open arms. Come back ANYTIME!
It is so nice to meet a couple that truly Love each other! The husband puts me to shame,he is a true gentleman that always opens the car door so his wife can get in. In this day and age it is so nice to see gestures like this. Truly a wonderful couple!
This is a wonderful couple that has taken up temporary residency during this Covid Lockdown. We wish they were our "neighbors " fulltime! They are a wonderful couple !
This couple has been here a while and We a losing track of time and dates but the memories of good times shared together will last a Lifetime! The other evening we shared a meal of Steamed Shrimp, baked potato and tossed salad . Afterwards we sat and enjoyed watching the flames dance in our campfire. I hope our guests enjoyed the evening as much as we did! These are the things that make Boondockers Welcome such a fantastic organization. The people and their experiences are priceless! So glad our lifes path has crossed with this couple!
We were fortunate enough to have this couple at our site at which time they were celebrating their 12yr. Wedding Anniversary. I'm sure all couples have their ups and downs but it is so nice to see a couple who truly Love each other. This couple seems to go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly. So,any other hosts want to have a good "sandwich " ,just let this couple stay with you!
This is a wonderful couple to stay at our site during this time of so many unanswered questions. We so enjoy having their company and learning more about them . Anyone who hosts them will not be disappointed.
We have been hosting this couple for an extended stay due to the Covid 19 virus and they are new fulltimers . They have become friends whom we will never forget. They feel like extended family. They are teaching us that we have to learn to receive which is just as important as giving ! They are truly a wonderful couple. When it comes time for them to leave , it will be difficult but we will keep good memories of them in our hearts. This couple should be welcome guests anywhere they go !
In these times of such uncertainty We can say one thing for sure, MidgettRVlife are certainly a wonderful, appreciative couple. They don't realize it but they are doing as much for us as they claim we have done for them. In this time of quarintine and Social Distancing it has been nice to share stories and experiences with these two fantastic people. They are staying with us for an extended stay because of travel restrictions but when it comes time to leave we will certainty miss this couple. They will be part of our forever memories and are welcome back anytime!
