My husband & I are a mature couple who enjoy life, friends & family, spontaneity, laughing, traveling, dining, camping, skiing, hiking, biking, motorcycling, and wine. We are RV newbies looking to experience a new type of life as we prepare to retire. As global travelers, we appreciate that it's the connections you make, and not just the places you tick the box on, that make the best memories.
Because we are getting our first RV in Spring 2020, the practical skills we can likely share are "what not to do's" with RVs once we start making our own mistakes. I am a voracious researcher, though, so I can point folks to resources and things I've learned researching for a year before buying.
On a more general level, as a couple, we have a lifetime of personal and professional experiences across a wide range of interests and hobbies -- motorcycling, cooking, wine, travel, living in different countries and cultures, and a career in law or being a master sargent in the French air force.
We have 2 female parrots -- a Meyer's/Jardine's hybrid and an African Grey. The girls don't always travel with us, but they are happy when they can.
As of March 2020, we've never boondocked! Looking forward to it, though!

My first guests as a host and could not be more pleased. New friends for life!
You couldn't wish to have a more pleasant and refreshing couple to drop by for a visit … They were on their way home from St. Louis with their new RV … They were pleasant to talk with and we touched on several areas including their two parrots … Being new to RVing is going to be a wonderful experience for them … They are welcome to drop in any time they are in the area …
