I retired as a remodeling contractor after many years chasing money in the city. I became allergic to brake lights! I escaped to the farm, far from the pollution of light, city smells and the noise. Growing garlic as a specialty, along with lots of fruits, veggies and herbs. Currently working on a short schoolie to travel in by mid summer or fall.
I can build nearly anything.
The farm has chickens. A cat named Lakota and my side kick Odie, a blue healer/border collie.
Near Ritzville Washington is home base!
Difficulties with our RV rental ran us several hours behind schedule. Host was not only gracious enough to allow us to come in after dark, but met us in the wee hours of the morning to help us find our site, and treated us to fresh produce from his garden and eggs from his chickens! Enjoyed Star-gazing and an ice cold beer before Drifting off to a peaceful and quiet sleep.
This beautiful place is for nature lovers - dry sweet golden grasses, big blue sky, basalt formations, a myriad of birds. At night, the stars were brighter than we’ve seen since childhood - and there in the northwest sky was Comet Neowise.
Ash, our host, greeted us when we arrived. He is kind and generous, and yet left us well enough alone while we enjoyed the privilege of staying on his quiet paradise.
We scoped out the directions on google maps and it took a bit of effort to find, but this was a wonderful experience that we would gladly do again.
