Recently retired from a full time nursing with the Veterans Health Administration. I have been married to my husband Jack Davis for 48 years, we have three daughters and 8 grandchildren. I was a travel nurse for many years before working with the VA. My specialty was ER as a level one trauma nurse and Heme-Onc-BMT for PEDS & Adult patients in both areas. I will probably work a couple of contracts a year for a few more years if I can. My husband is a retired custom cabinet maker and general contractor who loves to travel. We are footloose and fancy free! We are both excited to be a member if this boondocking community, thank you all for making that possible.
Me-Medical & well versed in veteran service connection benefits, seamstress and into low carb way of life. Hubs is woodworker, knife maker, wood carver, fabulous cook, vintage camper restorer, firearms enthusiast and can talk the leg off of a wooden chair given the chance. We both have extensive life experience and are "do it yourselfers".
Well...so far... Being "newbs", our own backyard :)
Martinsville Indiana & Paragon Indiana (side by side on the map). We were both born and raised in a 40 mile radius of those two towns. We met when we were 17 & 18 at a little drive in restaurant in the same little town we live in now. We pretty much know everyone in town except newer transplants and Jack's brother is the local fire chief. We recently downsized from a 116 year old house with 5 bedrooms to a shaker house that we have set up for spring thru fall living and plan on traveling thru the winter and off and on the rest of the year. We LOVE the travel life, but not to plop down in one spot for very long unless I'm working and then it's only for 3 months and in a regular camp site.
2003 Class C in very good to excellent condition completely renovated inside, clean and without damage on the outside. Self contained worth all working systems including generator. We have a 2020 Jeep Wrangler that we will be towing depending on our destination and plans.
Friendly couple. Most appreciative and respectful of our host location. Enjoyed the area and got to share a few stories.
Welcome back any time and by any hosts.
Great BW guests. We shared some conversation and would welcome them back. Helpful ,experienced RV travellers.
This couple could not have been greater/ nicer guest.
Very knowledgeable about past experience prior to their “GoldenYeas” Retirement.
I, as usual learned a lot regarding health issues ie. VA Benefits and other great suggestions.
They came and went at their leisure and you’d never know they were here.
Would welcome them again.
