I am a great nature lover who left the rat race of the Bay Area behind to soak up the rich history and laid back lifestyle in beautiful Nevada County. I have almost four acres of property and I’m happy to share space with guests - I love learning about where people come from and making new friends.
I have an Airstream I got in 2018, and hit the road when I can.
I am happy to point out local areas of interest.
Do I have pets?
You bet I do!
A 25 year old Rocky Mountsin Horse, two miniature horses, two Nigerian Dwarf goats, two English Shepherds and some house cats.
Grass Valley and Nevada City are amazing to visit! The historic Empire mine has tours and hiking trails. The old town areas have incredible restaurants, and the beauty of the area will take your breath away. You won’t want to leave!
Upon arriving, Laurie made sure that everything was okay for me after setting up, and when completed, I had to visit her fenced in animals, Including 3 horses, and various goats, all vying to be fed first since it was feeding time. Subjectively, an array of animals and pets add additional atmosphere to the property.
Because of covid-19, not much visiting was done, but I hope to return someday to share experiences with our RV travels. It was a nice gesture when Laurie messaged me on the second day to see if I needed anything, of which I was fine. The area is very quiet and safe, and overall a great place to “RV-down,” or use as a base camp as you venture out to see the many historical attractions of this area.
I recommend “Rocking Horse Ranch” to our RV community 100 percent!
