We live in Central Florida in the winter and Northwest Pennsylvania in the summer. We have 2 dogs - a 95 lb German Shepherd and a 25 lb Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. They travel with us everywhere and are very good boys. We have a toy hauler, so we also travel most places with our HD Ultra Classic. We enjoy visiting and being involved in military veteran's events and activities. We love experiencing new places as long as the weather is warm. LOL!
Yes, a 95 lb German Shepherd (11 yrs old) and a 25 lb Cavalier King Charles Spaniels (10 yrs old).
St Cloud Fl in the winter (Oct - May) and West Springfield PA in the summer (May - Oct)
We have a Dodge Ram 1500 Bighorn towing a 26' toy hauler travel trailer.
Communicated well about there plans and time of arrival. Nice folks.
Great little stop. Close to Lake Erie. Hosts were very informative and friendly. Wish we could have spent more time. Close to highway, easy to find. They offered water, elect and sewer.
Would definitely recommend.
Sharon and Dave made me feel at home while they hosted me for 2 nights. I never thought I would be able to back my rig into the driveway but Dave’s assistance and support gave me the confidence I needed. We chatted for awhile on their front porch and we found that we had a lot in common to talk about. Their two dogs are sweet and lovable and were a joy to be around. I can’t think of better hosts than Sharon and Dave. Anyone who finds him/herself in the area should spend some time at Erie Escape.
For our first BW experience, Erie Escape was way above expectations! Sharon and Dave are the Best! More hospitality than we expected or could have ever asked for. As we arrived, they were on their deck and welcomed us in with open arms and a couple of cold beverages! After intros and salutations, Dave helped me get backed in and set up with full hook ups available. They gave us the lay of the land, and we were on our way. After a very restful night, we went to the lake a jumped in before the impending storm rolled in and returned to the Paradise we found at Erie Escape. They invited us to a night out at a local VFW which we accepted graciously! What a great bunch of folks in the community! Last night after we returned, it was all about stories and building friendships that will last our lifetime.
Erie Escape has a a little piece of paradise and Dave and Sharon are Class A Hosts and gracious in every detail! Our visit with them, being our first experience with Boondockers Welcome has been the best and set the bar pretty high! Anyone passing through should request a stay at Erie Escape! In the words of Bill and Ted, “Most Excellent!!!”
What a wonderful place to stay with hosts that couldn’t be more welcoming or accommodating!
Their facilities were as good as any campground-level spot that was easy to back into, 30 amp service and sewer. They have 2 friendly dogs that welcomed our dogs.
Lake Erie and the beach were just a few miles away.
We made new friends and would definitely stay there again.
Due to a late start from Cape Cod, we didn’t make it to Dave and Sharon’s peaceful yard until almost 9 PM, where we were greeted warmly by our hosts. Just what we needed during our first night on the road. Thanks!!
Great location for visiting Erie PA area. Great host. Quiet and peaceful spot with hookups. Would definitely stay again. Our 5th wheel is 34.5 feet. Backing in was tricky but once we slide the hitch out we made it. Thank you Sharon and Dave.
Sharon and Dave were warm and welcoming. We had everything we could need or want during our short overnight stop. Would love to visit with them again when we are in the area again.
Dave and Sharon were just great hosts. Hot when we arrived and treated us with cold beers. Very helpful with local area sites. Military friendly. Can’t wait to stay with them again
BOTH S and D are very friendly and aim to make your stay a great experience. They are hospitable, warm and welcoming. Great hidden area not far from Lake Erie.
Sharon+Dave are super friendly & helpful. Quiet spot, close to highway. Easy access on level ground. They let us have our space for set-up/dinner when we first arrived, and we enjoyed a good conversation this morning before leaving. Great first boon docking experience.
We had our first stay at Erie Escape on a rainy July night. They have installled a full hook up RV set up in their driveway! They told us it was for friends and then they opened it to Boondockers Welcome guests. Lovely generous people.
The location is convenient to major highways, and 2 miles from Lake Erie!
They are located on a low traffic road, so no pressure taking your time to negotiate the back into their driveway.
We got to meet their two sweet dogs and enjoy their tree filled property with 30 amp (that have 50 also) while keeping comfortable with our AC.
We will try to come back and make it to the waterfront park when it’s not raining!
The hosts were quite gracious and shared local attractions. I would recommend meeting them and staying there. Had a great time!
Thank you very much we truly appreciated the accommodations
Would recommend staying here if your in the area.

Our hosts were gracious and trusting enough to allow us to stay while they were out of town. Their neighbor checked in on us when we arrived and as we were prepping to depart, offering assistance.
The site is very easy to access from the quiet street. Nice wooded lot with songbirds and frogs serenading. A mournful train whistle in the distance on occasion.
The ground surrounding the drive was very soft, which could be an issue if you wander too far of track, but the crushed stone was quite stable. We had no issues backing in or leaving.
We were favorably impressed.
