‘Cadenza” = musical term for an improvisational solo in the latter part of a piece. Also the name of my new Airstream, equipped for off the grid full-timing.
Me = health policy nerd, empty nester mom, husband is mostly sticking with indoor plumbing. I’ve lived and traveled all over the world and it’s time to see America (and a bit of Canada).
The Adventure = my lifelong dream of traveling in a big circle to Alaska and back, partial outdoor adventure, partial listening tour, partial simplification of life. In early 2020 I resigned from my job and gifted myself a personal sabbatical year to fulfill my dream.
On a variety of social media @AirstreamCadenza [under construction until April 2020]
Skills = Wilderness first responder, speak fluent corporate talk and a few other languages less fluently. Barely competent yoga practitioner.
Superpower = Gourmet dinner in 20 minutes out of almost anything
I am a national health policy expert and interested in hearing (and possibly writing about, with your permission) the challenges and successes you / your family / your community has experienced in achieving best possible health. [Not providing medical advice though!]. But if you don’t want to discuss that I am down for a great conversation about just about anything, and always looking to learn something new.
Aiden is a 65 pound, 10 year old rescued mutt - part boxer, part Schnauzer, part terrier. He is a good watchdog and protective of me and his space, but as long as nobody is knocking on the door (especially a squirrel) he is quiet and just hangs out. He has been a city dog since we adopted him in 2011 and so he is very accustomed to being on leash at all times. He will be with me beginning in mid April 2020 when we go full time for a year.
TBD! Tell me yours!

We really enjoyed hosting AirstreamCadenza and the visits we were able to share. Very pleasent to visit with and to hear the traveling stories.
This guest not only provided some awesome chocolate-espresso-,banana bread but also did some research to help us learn more about the previous owners of our property.
We know this traveler was disappointed when the Covid situation interfered with life-long goals for this trip. We hope we were able to provide a bit of a bright spot in their travels.
AirstreamCadenza was a great guest, very friendly - although we did not spend very much time visiting as we would have liked, due to our personal obligations. Airstream was quiet and left our BW area as it was when they arrived. Wish we could have spent more time visiting, maybe in the future we will get a chance to visit again. Safe travels AirstreamCadenza.
We enjoyed hosting Airstream. Its always exciting to hear about adventures that are happening and to be a tiny piece of them. We brought down a couple of bottle baby goats to feed in the morning before Airstream went on the way to greener pastures.
Easygoing, joyful, friendly, respectful guest that left the area as she found it. Highly recommend and welcome back anytime.
Glad to be one of the first few hosts along the way.
It was our pleasure to have you stay with us at the beginning of your journey. We look forward to more visits with you. I have no reservations recommending you as a guest to Boondockers Welcome hosts. We enjoyed spending time with you, wish you safe travels, and look forward to following your journey.
