We are a 36' Class A RV'g couple with a lot to share when we are home during the North Season. The lot has two levels, up and down the hill, and when it is the dry season you can dry camp or tent by the lake on a level area or you can back into an area with 30A but no water with a 2% grade. The third area is right off the road in a wide driveway that you back into and is a partially shaded area that has 50A and water. This area has a 5% grade that requires you to level the rig. No tents up on top please.
What skills we have are mostly electrical/electronic oriented but we are versatile and farm country skilled.
We have a 7# Morkie that loves people but is aggressive to other dogs and travels with us always. She is never, ever off a leash or short line in our upper yard and is always attended. We ask that you do the same. Please no aggressive breed dogs without permission and on a short, owner controlled leash.
Mostly we like a place with some power since we are solar-less and in a somewhat quiet rural location.
We have lived in this small village all our life. Everyone knows everyone and our small lake is a well known as Pleasant Lake for the last 100+ years. There is a gas station, a Post Office, a fire station and some small businesses - otherwise it is a rural farm country scene. Diesel is 8 miles away in multiple locations. Comfort food or most other types is 5 miles north. You can safely walk at any time no matter who you are just as the locals do and swim at the clean water beach on or beach or the village beach or another lake. There are many places to kayak within <5 miles and we have a couple too.
I had a lovely visit. Sitting around the fire while chatting with the hosts was wonderful. We even sang some songs together while I played guitar.. The lake was beautiful during the day and as the sun set it was wonderful to sit and watch the lake change. Even though it was late October both days were sunny and in the 70's. I hope to come back again!
We stay with Charlie76In for 3 nights. Unfortunately, work kept me occupied for the first couple of nights. The 3rd night we were able to truly appreciate our hosts and their beautiful lakefront. We had a great evening chatting around the fire on the edge of a lake. Due to the size of our coach we had to park up on the driveway. Would have been fantastic to have a smaller rig and stayed on the lower lakefront spot.
We had great communication about how to get to the site and what options were available to set up at. Directions were easy and the house was easy to find. We stayed in the large easy to back into driveway. There is a bit of slope that will require some leveling blocks. The hosts were great people. Easy to talk with. We sat and talked for almost two hours after arriving. They offered fire wood to use in their fire pit down by the lake... we walked down but did not take advantage of it. Water and electric were available and greatly appreciated. Would definitely return if in the area. One note for verizon people we had only one bar cell service. Not a problem for us but if you are planning to stream a movie it may be an issue.
We had a very restful and secure stop for the night.
Charlie and Sharon we very accommodating.
We enjoyed talking about RVing, travel destinations and the lake out back was the icing on the cake.
We hope to meet up with them in a couple weeks.
Charlie's Lake View is highly recommended.
All I can say is it was awesome!! Charlie and his wife were great hosts. They have a beautiful spot and are very welcoming! Someday we will be full-time RVers and hope to visit Charlie again on our way through the area! Hank and Lilli
Easy to find and access, great power and water with lots of local information. We were able to park without disconnecting, always a plus when we’re on the move. Nice folks
We totally enjoyed our evening and overnight at Charlies Lake View, on our way to visit family further west. We chose to dry camp right at the edge of the lake, a beautiful spot. The weather that day and evening were lovely, and we had a fun visit with Charlie and Sharon, sitting (socially-distanced!) in lawn chairs there as the sun was getting low. The night was quiet and the early morning mist on the lake, with the moon still visible, was a serene and peaceful start to our travel day. These gracious hosts, lots of birds, kayakers on the lake, and the gorgeous, quiet scenery all combine to make this a very special place!
Great couple, very friendly & accommodating. Enjoyed chatting with them during our brief stay. Beautiful sunsets just over the tree line from their driveway!
