We are a 36' Class A RV'g couple with a lot to share when we are home during the North Season. The lot has two levels, up and down the hill, and when it is the dry season you can dry camp or tent by the lake on a level area or you can back into an area with 30A but no water with a 2% grade. The third area is right off the road in a wide driveway that you back into and is a partially shaded area that has 50A and water. This area has a 5% grade that requires you to level the rig. No tents up on top please.
What skills we have are mostly electrical/electronic oriented but we are versatile and farm country skilled.
We have a 7# Morkie that loves people but is aggressive to other dogs and travels with us always. She is never, ever off a leash or short line in our upper yard and is always attended. We ask that you do the same. Please no aggressive breed dogs without permission and on a short, owner controlled leash.
Mostly we like a place with some power since we are solar-less and in a somewhat quiet rural location.
We have lived in this small village all our life. Everyone knows everyone and our small lake is a well known as Pleasant Lake for the last 100+ years. There is a gas station, a Post Office, a fire station and some small businesses - otherwise it is a rural farm country scene. Diesel is 8 miles away in multiple locations. Comfort food or most other types is 5 miles north. You can safely walk at any time no matter who you are just as the locals do and swim at the clean water beach on or beach or the village beach or another lake. There are many places to kayak within <5 miles and we have a couple too.
2002 Winnebago Journey 36GD with tow dolly and Honda Civic. All are in good working condition and presentable. The GenSet is a 7.5KW diesel Onan. The total length is overall 60± feet. RV is gold colored and Civic is silver: Both are registered in Indiana.
Short stay but still had a very nice visit around the fire until rain scared us off its always fun having other hosts stay so we can learn how others do things hope to use their site sometime they would surely be welcome back here anytime
Charlie76IN had a 50A hookup and leveling blocks waiting for us when we arrived. Very nice couple. Nice little lake behind the house. We’ve been traveling several days and at campgrounds. So nice to have a place to ourselves. We will definitely be back. Thanks!
We met Charlie, He is a wonderful person. We only stayed one night. The directions were spot on to get there. As we were only staying one night we didn't want to disconnect and we're bigger than his site but He still let us stay and helped us accommodate our rig/tow vehicle. 50 amp power, security light, water, and He even offered WIFi. We felt very safe there.
A cordial and friendly couple with a very accessible parking spot and convenient 50 amp hookup. Communication and directions were great. I could not ask for more and am very appreciative of the wonderful hospitality. Thanks very much!
Beautiful location and very welcoming and interesting couple. Our dog enjoyed chasing fish in their lake!
What a great stay. Highly recommended. Friendly folks that share their beautiful prop erty with fellow travelers.
Very nice place to stay. Very accommodating host and hostess. Really made it a pleasurable stay.
It will be hard to find a more generous and interesting host and hostess than Charlie and Sharon. We had a great time sharing stories, wine and cheese. We hope they’ll come visit us in the Greenbrier!
The host is very friendly and a good conversationalist....very helpful as well. We stayed in the upper-spot at this location. It is a driveway in front of the house and has a slant to it. The host built some NICE parking ramps to help with the leveling of the RV.
At the upper spot, you will hear cars as they go by through the day. This tapers off late into the evening as it is out in the countryside. We enjoyed the shade and beautiful trees.
A very pretty area and very peaceful spot. My dog was sick and the host let me come a day early. I'm very grateful they helped me out.
I had a wonderful stay with Charlie76IN. It's a beautiful spot on a quiet lake and made for a perfect night's sleep after a long, interesting fireside chat with my great hosts. Endless things to talk about, including their opinion that some of the nicest people in the world live in New Zealand. But two of the nicest people in the world live right on this property. I am once again blown away by the kindness of "strangers" and the goodness of people. Thanks for a memorable stay.
We had a very pleasant stay with these welcoming Hosts. It’s nice people like Charlie and his wife that makes boondocking so rewarding. Thanks again Charlie!
We had a really restful night here at Charlie76IN’s place. We were happy to have our hosts great us upon arrival and share some stories before crashing for the night. They saw us off in the morning (cookies included) which was really nice!
Such a great spot for a few days away. We were immediately greeted by Charlie76IN and directed to set up spot - we had no trouble getting down the drive, steps away from the lake, and very private. Firepit and wood available, although we didn't get to use them due to weather. The light rain didn't keep us from playing with the bluegill and bass, though. Welcoming, friendly hosts. Would love to go back!
Beautiful spots and extremely helpful folks who bent over backwards to make us feel welcome!! Would love to stay with them again!
I had a lovely visit. Sitting around the fire while chatting with the hosts was wonderful. We even sang some songs together while I played guitar.. The lake was beautiful during the day and as the sun set it was wonderful to sit and watch the lake change. Even though it was late October both days were sunny and in the 70's. I hope to come back again!
We stay with Charlie76In for 3 nights. Unfortunately, work kept me occupied for the first couple of nights. The 3rd night we were able to truly appreciate our hosts and their beautiful lakefront. We had a great evening chatting around the fire on the edge of a lake. Due to the size of our coach we had to park up on the driveway. Would have been fantastic to have a smaller rig and stayed on the lower lakefront spot.
We had great communication about how to get to the site and what options were available to set up at. Directions were easy and the house was easy to find. We stayed in the large easy to back into driveway. There is a bit of slope that will require some leveling blocks. The hosts were great people. Easy to talk with. We sat and talked for almost two hours after arriving. They offered fire wood to use in their fire pit down by the lake... we walked down but did not take advantage of it. Water and electric were available and greatly appreciated. Would definitely return if in the area. One note for verizon people we had only one bar cell service. Not a problem for us but if you are planning to stream a movie it may be an issue.
We had a very restful and secure stop for the night.
Charlie and Sharon we very accommodating.
We enjoyed talking about RVing, travel destinations and the lake out back was the icing on the cake.
We hope to meet up with them in a couple weeks.
Charlie's Lake View is highly recommended.
All I can say is it was awesome!! Charlie and his wife were great hosts. They have a beautiful spot and are very welcoming! Someday we will be full-time RVers and hope to visit Charlie again on our way through the area! Hank and Lilli
Easy to find and access, great power and water with lots of local information. We were able to park without disconnecting, always a plus when we’re on the move. Nice folks
We totally enjoyed our evening and overnight at Charlies Lake View, on our way to visit family further west. We chose to dry camp right at the edge of the lake, a beautiful spot. The weather that day and evening were lovely, and we had a fun visit with Charlie and Sharon, sitting (socially-distanced!) in lawn chairs there as the sun was getting low. The night was quiet and the early morning mist on the lake, with the moon still visible, was a serene and peaceful start to our travel day. These gracious hosts, lots of birds, kayakers on the lake, and the gorgeous, quiet scenery all combine to make this a very special place!
Great couple, very friendly & accommodating. Enjoyed chatting with them during our brief stay. Beautiful sunsets just over the tree line from their driveway!
