East Aurora, NY
We have a 40' Alpine Coach with four slide-outs.
We stayed with Khennig for two nights in late September and it was one of our favourite boondocking experiences. Firstly, our hosts were so friendly, helpful and generous and our two kids loved their sweet dogs. They came to meet us as we arrived, to help us find them easily. The site itself is gorgeous, tucked up alongside the barn with electricity hookups and the view is just divine. It was so peaceful and green, just a joy to stay there. Our hosts even took us all on a little quadbike tour of their property, which is vast and introduced us to the local organic farmer, who operates his grassfed, organic meat business on an honesty system, so if you want wonderful grassfed meat, that's definitely the place to go. The town of East Aurora is gorgeous, there is a craft brewery, a fantastic toy shop (if you have kids) and wonderful cafes full of freshly baked breads and delish foods. We loved wandering around it. Definitely recommend staying there if you are in upstate NY.
Khennig were there to meet us and showed us where to park alongside their barn. Thank you so much for a beautiful overnight spot. The fall colors were spectacular. Our view was of their beautiful property. Thank you so much for a very quiet night. Highly recommended for all Boondockers Welcome members.
We were only able to spend one night at K &J's,due to our traveling schedule, but wish we could have spent more! They were more than welcoming and accommodating (despite our late arrival)- their site excellent - and their two dogs so very sweet! Would highly recommend! Thanks K&J for letting us "crash" at your place!
We loved our stay at khennig's! They are wonderful, generous hosts and their property beautiful, quiet and peaceful. It was July when we visited (hot!), the moon was full, coyotes yipped in the distance at dusk, and fireflies by the thousands lit up the fields after dark. Our family only planned to spend one night in East Aurora en route to Niagara Falls, but finding so much to see and do in the area, we ended up staying longer. Thanks for being so accommodating. Highly recommended!
Khennig were fabulous hosts. We spent a wonderful evening with them enjoying the flavours of their local community. Very quiet and peaceful location. It was our first boon docking experience and the bar has been set exceedingly high.
We spent two nights at this peaceful location. We were welcomed by all members of the family, including the two golden retrievers. Our hosts went out of the way to make us feel welcome, in spite of their busy schedules. K & J were great hosts who welcomed us to share their beautful home and their interesting hometown of East Aurora. A great 'mainstreet' town that has not been ruined by the Walmart clutches. We exchanged ideas and experiences about RV-ing. There was so much to talk about! We highly recommend this place for boondocking. The parking is flat and the view was great. Kids enjoyed biking on the long paved driveway. We were greeted by a few deer in the yard as we arrived. Highly recommend them and we will return! Thanks K&J for your hospitality!!
We spent a wonderful evening at Jay and Kati's home at the end of August. They have a large beautiful property and there are several locations to park your rigs. They were very hospitable and sent us along our way with fresh produce from their gardens. They also suggested some things to do in East Aurora. It has a bustling main street and it was a great way to spend the day. We hope to drop in again in the future! Cruisefx (Paul & Jenny)
I recently spent an overnight with Katie and Jay at their beautiful farm (with a view) in East Aurora, New York (western NY, south of Buffalo). They are terrific hosts. Very friendly and most accommodating. Their farm is located on a hill that offers a beautiful view. They provided power (all I needed) and a choice of lots of places to park on their property. We spent the evening chatting and getting to know one another. The nearby village of East Aurora is quaint and charming, not to mention historic, and I spent most of the next day exploring the place. It couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. Thanks Katie and Jay for your hospitality. I hope we cross paths again someday.
