Our family has traveled and camped all over the United States. We love to be in nature and find unique hikes, waterfalls, caves, etc. We used to tent camp but as our family grew we wanted to travel in a little more comfort. Our 24' RV allows us a comfortable stay in any weather, while giving us the flexibility to travel to camp anywhere (back roads, mountain roads, winter camping, etc.). We have loved everywhere we have visited (Florida, California, Utah, Maine, etc.) but especially love all of the great sites and camping opportunities in our home state of Minnesota. We are excited to experience new areas of the United States and meet new people.
Our family is very science based as my wife is a 7th grade science teacher and I am a scientist for a biomedical device company. Outside of work, I love to do handy work such as house repair and anything I can do with my hands. My wife is incredibly artistic and loves to draw, paint and make crafts. Our oldest son is fairly artistic as well, while our youngest son likes sports and is just getting into playing the piano.
We have chickens and a pet tortoise, but we do not travel with any pets.
We have just purchased our RV so we haven't done much boondocking in it yet. However, previously we have done a lot of off-road tent camping in the Boundary Waters (MN), Badlands (South Dakota) and the Rocky Mountains. We are excited to continue to explore new locations around the United States as a family.
We live in Coon Rapids, MN (near Minneapolis). My wife and I are Minnesota born and bred. We love hiking, biking, kayaking, snowmobiling, skiing, hockey, etc. As our boys are now at a great age to travel we are excited to explore areas outside of our great state of Minnesota.
We have a 2018 24' Forest River Forester that our family (myself, wife and 9 and 15 year old boys) are excited to travel the country in. We like to bike, kayak, hike, visit museums and enjoy all of the diversity that our great nation has to offer. We are fairly frugal and love to meet new people which is why we are excited to join this unique group. We are pretty low-key and don't need much in regards to facilities or hosting, though we love to get tips from locals on the best things to do in the area.
Nice family. Fun and easy guests for one night.
Hope to see more of them,
Strongly recommend,
What a cool family! Great are parents who take their children around the country to visit other cities’ cultural and historical points of interest. These folks are doing just that! They were extremely pleasant, respectful of my neighborhood and property, and just nice people! They are welcome back anytime!!
Very good communication about arrival times and departure. Glad we could host you on your Journey home.
Thoroughly enjoyed hosting this fun, active family. They maneuvered the tight conditions like pros! Bravo! They are welcome back any time!
We enjoyed having this adventurous family stay with us. They are great at communicating, super respectful, and just very friendly folks. We are thankful that we were able to share a campfire and some fun stories with them. They are welcome back here any time!
Wat a polite, quiet, awesome family! They were understanding when our animals caused some inconvenience. They arrived, set up after a brief introduction, and then were independent from that point on. We wished we could have visited a little more. This family is definitely welcome back anytime!!
