We really enjoyed our stay at Okon farm for a few nights while visiting Michigan. The hosts were incredibly friendly and shared some delicious home grown tomatoes. Our girls had fun spotting the farm cats as we enjoyed the quiet area. Very convenient for Michigan's North West area. Would absolutely stay again.
nice stay and friendly people nice pull thru site for my rig __ hope they are able soon to get out and enjoy the Boondocker experience on the otherside !
super nice hosts and beautiful farm. This was our first Boondockers Welcome site and it was perfect
We had a great stay and really appreciate being treated like family. Many thanks.
This is such a wonderful place to stay. Easy pull in through right to flat grassy spot with 30 AMP hookup. Great and very thoughtful hosts welcomed us immediately upon arrival. We needed a place for overnight sleep and working remote the next day. Our hotspot was able to pick up good signal and it was so peaceful with the ability to take a walk through a path cut through the farm back to a wooded area. Nice way to take a work break on a sunny fall afternoon. Would 100% stay here again.
We had a lovely time at Okon Farm. It was incredible to watch the sunset and sunrise over the farm. So much space, privacy and fresh air. We were greeted with so much hospitality and generosity at Okon Farm. We hope to visit again!
Michael and his family were very accommodating. They stayed up late to show us to a spot. It was leveled. Very clean. They have an incredible farm and a huge piece of land behind that they kindly let us walk on behind in our free time. They asked us to take whatever vegetables we find intheir garden we had fresh tomatoes every morning. They were very accommodating. Enjoy the stay with God bless. This country needs more people like Michael and his family

Staying at Okon Farm was wonderful. Michael and his wife were very pleasant and generous, we had some nice conversations and got yummy tomato’s. The 30 amp hookup and delicious well water were a great bonus.
My husband and I would definitely recommend this farm.
Enjoyed our time. Quiet, private, level - so just what we love on every count. Easy pull through, great hosts. Would definitely recommend!
I’m a newbie and had a couple of mishaps. They went above and beyond to help me out. Seriously such kind people. They restored my faith in humanity!!
We had a great stay here close enough to town to run and get some needed things, but far enough to listen to the crickets at night. Michael and his wive are super, when we got there he met use at the camp spot an showed us where to set up to be level. We will be back
Gracious hosts,
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this quiet place. Small pleasantries
we did not expect.
We would communicate by text before any interaction.
We will definitely try to stay here again.
This was our first experience using Boondockers Welcome, and the farm was perfect! Communication with the hosts was clear and thorough before and during our stay. They greeted us at the driveway, showed us where to park, and assisted with hook-up. The location was ideal for accessing all the mountain bike trails in the surrounding area, as well as Lake Michigan. We would stay here again!
The hosts were wonderful and very accommodating. Enjoyed meeting them and talking with them to learn about their farm. Our boys loved the wide open space to run and play. Definitely a favorite.
90 acres of beautiful fields of wheat & corn. Plenty of room to let our dogs roam & play. Host was very helpful in ensuring we had all we needed for a pleasant 2 day stay.
07/18/20 – 07/25/20 – There is a real reason why these folks are called “Super Hosts”… They just bend over backwards everywhere to accommodate you. They met us at the street to make sure you get into your space and have what you need. We had great conversations about farming, fishing, RV’ing and families. They are just delightful! They treat you like family. There is just not enough space here to give them the thanks we want to give. We just enjoyed their company immensely. Here at this location, there is the potential that you will see bear, pheasant, coyotes, skunks, raccoons, herrings, deer and geese. Night skies are fantastic and quiet. The location is close to Traverse City (30 miles) and other tourist destinations. Just about any size rig can fit in here with no problem. We are a 42’ 5th wheel with a long bed pickup. Absolutely the easiest back-in I ever had. Out of respect for the hosts beautiful property, if it has rained or you have an especially heavy rig, it’s really important to communicate with the Host and have dry weather for a while to prevent ruts or something worse. Smaller, lighter rigs should not be such a big issue. The hosts have 30A service available for a nominal charge if you need it. Interlochen State Park is 11 miles down the road. The State Park dump is available only to guests. So, for a re-charge night it works great. Check in is at 3pm. Check out is at 1pm. The KOA in Buckley, MI is actually closer but when called, it was $20 (potable water was included) for non-guests. Back to the Hosts…If you have a chance to stay with these folks, you will be happy you did. With the Hosts OK, we would definitely stay here again and again and again and again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the peaceful and quiet visit. There was plenty of room to park and lots of open space. Very level parking area and easy access for a large fifth wheel trailer. It made for a smooth and comfortable stay.
Beautiful 90 acres, very accommodating host. Enjoyed the peace and quiet. What a treat and surprise, getting homemade meat pocket sandwiches and molasses cookies as we were leaving. We were blessed staying there.
Absolutely wonderful hosts, loved talking to them (socially distanced) and had a delightful time walking with my dog around their heavenly farm. Highly recommend and thanks again to hosts!!!!!
OkanFarm, Great place to stop, nice spot!! Because of our sightseeing and social distancing didn’t get to visit with them much but they are wonderful hosts!!
Thank you to the hosts. We had a great stay, good location for our day trips and quiet nights.
Would stay again
The Okon Farm was a wonderful spot to stay near Traverse City and the Sleeping Bear Dunes! The owners were incredibly accommodating, communicative, and friendly. Greeted us when we pulled up to the property and stayed in touch throughout the stay. Great cell phone signal for remote working and a beautiful farm. Would 100% recommend!
They are the nicest, most accommodating people. We first had to change our days, no problem. Then had to leave early due to an issue with our living room slide. Very helpful and understanding. We hope to be back once our issues are resolved. Thank you OkonFarm
MichaelOkon was very accommodating and friendly. Nice level quiet spot. We would stay again if in the area. Thanks Okon farm !!
Great communication and easy access. We texted when we were arriving and our welcoming hosts met us to show us where to park our big rig in the grass near their barn. Had a short socially distanced chat, then enjoyed some down time on the farm. If you’re in the Traverse City area, great spot. Thank you Okon Farm!
We had a nice time staying in our camper at the Okon Farm. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful, and the scenery was lovely. We had amazing views of the sunset over the fields, and the full moon across the way. And it's a great location for getting out to other sites and activities in the area.
