Forsters in the Forest

Do you know or have you hosted this user?

Hello! We are Nate and Liz Forster. Nate works as a forester, and we live in the forest! Nate counts trees, and Liz stays in the camper and works as a grant writer. We are both in our early 30s. We recently embarked on full-time camper life (February 2020) and are excited to see where this life takes us! We have a 17 foot travel trailer which is fully self contained - solar panels, battery bank, large water tanks, etc. We do not use a generator or need any hookups.

Skills & Expertise to Share

Nate: forestry, diagnosing vehicle issues, home renovation, woodworking, landscape design
Liz: grant writing, excel, google suite, painting, crafty stuff, event planning, financial planning/taxes

Nate plays a little guitar, and Liz is trying to learn to play the Mandolin.

LizCForster's Pets

We have a chill indoor-only cat. Her name is Lily and she is the sweetest!

Favorite Boondocking Locations

We spend our summers in Allegheny National Forest (Pennsylvania) for Nate's work, but lately we have really enjoyed Rio Grande National Forest in Colorado and Prescott National Forest in Arizona!

Active Young Folks

Nice young people. They stopped over for a night on the way to SNP. Had a glass of wine, a little chat, a snooze, and then they were gone. Good campers!

Wonderful couple!

These guys were super awesome. Friendly and great to talk to. Sadly, I was a bit short on time to spend with them, but the brief time we had was really nice. I would love to have them stay again. They even had some carrots for the critters. Safe travels to you both!
