We love to travel and meet new friends

Do you know or have you hosted this user?

We are Nick and Pat living on the gulf coast of Florida We will have been married 50 years in June 2020. We love to travel and our next planned trip starts at the end of April from Florida across the gulf states through New Mexico and Nevada and then to California north of LA. We want to travel the Pacific Coast Highway when possible and take however long we need to see all we can. Then north to Oregon, which will take another few weeks before heading to Washington state, Idaho, Montana, N and S Dakota and Wyoming. Then we'll head home. Hoping we can do all of this in 4+ months. We want to use Boondockers a lot along the way and only stay in parks when we need to rest up for a while and make day trips in the toad.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Nick has a 2 story "man cave" full of tools and tons of hardware.

Schna's Pets

Favorite Boondocking Locations

We don't have any yet but look forward to starting a long list!

Schna's Hometown

We are in New Port Richey which is located just north of Clearwater Beach, Tampa, St Pete and the Sarasota areas. We're close to all the central Florida attractions, i.e. Disney, Epcot and Universal studios to name a few. We're about 5 miles from the beach. New Port Richey is a mid size walkable downtown teeming with all kinds of restaurants, shops and craft breweries. Our city park is located on the Pithlachascotee (Cotee) River with a public boat dock, sightseeing boat and picnic areas.

Peaceful & Friendly

The hosts are SO friendly & helpful! Our leveling jacks were not working, so they helped us get set up. Our door opened right next to their little dock on the lake where we enjoyed the view & watching ducks, heron, wood storks & other waterfowl. Great location, wonderful hosts - this is what Boondockers Welcome was created for!

Wonderful Stay

What a great couple and beautiful peaceful property! We loved talking with both of them; very friendly. Be sure to ask for a peek at their artwork. I bought 2 paintings that are hanging in my motorhome now.

Lots of stars

Very welcoming hosts. Everything was exactly as described. A beautiful piece of property and it worked out well for my Pinellas trail ride.

Nice place & Hosts

We liked this location and hosts very much. We stayed one night only as we moved south in behind a gulf storm. We plan to return some time soon.

Wonderful hosts, beautiful property

Friendly and inviting! Super easy to find and a quiet place on the lake. Can't say enough good things about the hosts, make you feel at home and give great advice about things to do and places to go in the area 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all the way!

Awesome stay

My hosts were very welcoming even though we practiced our social distancing. Hope to spend a night or two in the future so I can experience all that New Port Richey has to offer. My hosts taught me a few new things about travelling in my RV . Great stay!

10 star+ - 5 stars for the hosts and 5 stars for the location.

After a hectic day of packing up a spot I'd been in for 5 months, doing laundry, getting groceries, gassing up, etc. I arrived in the early afternoon to a "piece of paradise" . Wonderful hosts (you never would have known that they were "new" to BW ... I was their first) and a truly special spot.

It was quiet, except for the noise of a limpkin (aka the crying bird) that amused me a couple of times during the night. They are in a relatively developed residential area, not too far from the higway and at times I could hear cars in the distance but I slept like a baby and didn't need earplugs ....

Not only did my hosts come by after I set up to "check" to make sure I was ok they encouraged me to plug in as the night was quite hot and the air conditioner was appreciated, and the next morning they helped me fix my CO sensor .... yes, there is a carport full of tools!!!

Thank you for not only your hospitality but also you help. Chicklet loved being able to roam and I felt save.
