After years of sailing on the Neuse River and cruising the Intracoastal waterway, we've sold the Cal33 sailboat (still have a bunch of small watercraft) and bought a 23' Airstream Interstate 3500 motor home. We have been retired for years but still very active and looking forward to lots of traveling in our new RV. We have two homes -- one on Green's Creek in Oriental and the other on the Neuse River in New Bern, North Carolina. We enjoy happy hour every evening watching the sunset from the deck. Life is good! Biking, birding, hiking, photography, kayaking and visiting kids and grandkids are some of the ways we keep busy.
Paul is good with boats having had many over the years and lots of boat knowledge translates well to RVs. Ellen does a lot of work on the computer after a long IT career and enjoys sewing - mostly home décor and mending.
South to Florida in the winter and north in the summer. We like to seek out lighthouses and are glad we're able to climb to the top.
Our RV is a class B, 2010, 23' Airstream - a self-contained motor home, very compact with no slides.
Ellen and Paul just finished three nights with us. What a fun, interesting couple! Many stories to share both ways and eager to learn about the RV lifestyle they are new to. If they come your way, you will enjoy it.
