The San Juan Islands are a group of islands north of Seattle, Washington accessed by the Washington State Ferry system..there are 4 ferry served islands, San Juan being one of them and the most populated with about 13,000 full and part time home owners. In the rain shadow of the Olympic Mts we are spared the large amount of rain that Seattle gets. Wildlife abundance, three resident pods of Orcas whales, migrating eagles, fox and of course deer.
