We love camping in our Lance TT and assume others love camping in their RVs too. My wife and I are retired Soldiers but she currently works full time as an RN. I’m the stay at home guy. We’ve been married 34 years, raised three children, and have lived all over the USA and the world. Besides traveling & camping, we enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, spending time with friends, and just spending a quiet evening drinking wine around a campfire.

No, we don’t have pets. However, when our daughter visits she brings the world’s largest lap dog. Willow is the sweetest fawn colored Great Dane ever.
Haven’t boondocked yet, but hoping to learn from this community.
Currently, we live just north of DeLand, FL. Originally, my wife is from Washington, Missouri and I’m from Miami, Florida. In the interim, we’ve lived in 10 states, a number of foreign countries, and trained in or deployed to a number of others. DeLand is a fabulous small town with many things to do. We are near numerous springs, state parks, national forest, the beach, and other activities.
We have a 2017 Lance 2285 travel trailer towed with a 2020 Ford F-350 SRW.
Friendly and generous hosts.
We enjoyed our time at this quiet site.
We recommend them.
We enjoyed our visit. Great host! Great location, easy to get to lots of places. Will be looking forward to next trip to area. Great first boondocking experience. Thanks so much to our hosts!
We wanted a close to home getaway. Silver Eagle's home is very close to good areas for kayaking and bicycling. We met B, who was a very friendly accommodating host. He provided clear instructions, he gave a things to do around here sheet to us. 30 amp service, with water available. Far enough from his house to give us both privacy. Easy access to his guest spot. We were very happy with everything. They understand the need for social distancing. Thanks B and M. Remember my offer.
Great stay in beautiful DeLand! Bob and Mary have a great piece of property, and we were tucked away in a private little nook behind their outbuilding. Heard owls at dusk and dawn, and got some great pictures of a pleated woodpecker on a tree right out our window. Nice, quiet street to walk the dog. Also, if you have a dog, don’t miss the Barkley Square Dog Park right in town ... acres of running room, a pond for swimming and a $10 self-dog-wash station which you’ll need after the pups roll in the dirt! LOL. Enjoyed fun conversation with Bob and Mary and highly recommend them as Boondocker hosts. Take care!
The host is in a gated neighborhood of beautiful properties with lovely yards and political flags. The location is perfect for people want to tourist the local natural areas, as noted in the site description. The host greeted me at the street and showed me the parking options. It’s a pull through loop for those uncomfortable backing up. The host was friendly and we had some nice chats about RVing. I used the parking spot that is fairly private and wooded, a bit like boondocking, except 30 amp!
Bob was standing out in the rain to great us when we arrived. Very nice set up with level area next to his new RV storage building. He offered his 30 amp service and would not take a donation from us also offered water to refill our tank. It was a pleasure meeting Bob and he was very accommodating and offered a great summary sheet of local shopping, dining, etc. Weather was stormy so we stayed in for the night but woke to a sunny day to depart. Certainly hope to connect again with Bob and offered to reciprocate a stay in NC.
Very friendly host, in a beautiful setting. His written info sheet was helpful and a pleasant surprise. Thanks
Thank you for having us and making feel at home! Great level spot in rear of 2 acre property...quiet, safe and comfortable.
What a great place to stay. The property is very nice. Our host met us at the street to guide us to our boondocking location where we would have access to electric. It was peaceful and relaxing. The best part was our conversations. We have the same number of children, both worked in IT, etc. the list goes on. We talked about places we have been, told a few stories, he shared information with us concerning the city and state park where we are going next. It was a great time, it felt like we had known each other for years rather than just meeting. We would very much like to visit Nestled in Glenwood Oaks again.
