I live on a small farm in rural Missouri. I can't wait to retire so I can enjoy camping and trailriding all over America.
We know a little about a lot. We've farmed a bit, owned and ridden horses always. Sam is semi-retired from tooling and manufacturing. I'm still working full-time-maybe till the end of the year.
Hell yes! Dogs, horses, and donk'
We are just beginning this RV life and can't wait to enjoy all of America! We recently did the Arizona/New Mexico thing in February and enjoyed the experience immensely. Boon-docking in the desert was a blast-So fresh and free out there!
Easy in, easy out. No issues leveling. Very nice location with great members.
we spent 1 night - felt very well - definitely would come back again.
A very nice place. The hosts were gre
at and friendly. Sam even showed us his RV. We have an apple to the horse and donkey. The dogs and cats even seemed to enjoy us. A nice quite place to stay.
We stopped at Tickridge for the night on our way down to FL. They were incredibly gracious hosts and have such a beautiful spot there! It was very convenient right off the highway, but it felt safe and sound at the farm. Both hosts were very kind, we really appreciated the opportunity to stay!
Hosts were very responsive to our request for a stay. They had prior plans but still accommodated our request. We are very, very appreciative! A beautiful farm setting yet close to highway access. Grounds are just like WOW! We shared stories about RVing.
Parking is easy even for larger rigs. Our 5th wheel rig is 42’ and 20,000 lbs. For most, it’s not an issue to turn around. If you need a Walmart, they are only 20 minutes away along with a few restaurants and fuel (cheap compared to the rest of the country so far! $1.95 for diesel. Up the road, we found it at $1.68 for Deisel). For over-the-air TV, just point to 135.0° (toward South St. Louis, MO) for multiple channel selections.
Verizon is good at 2 bars without the WeBoost. 3-4 bars with it.
Thank you Hosts for allowing us the opportunity to stay. You are very gracious. It was very quiet and relaxing. Hopefully the Covid issue will be gone in the near future and we can return for a much longer visit. We need to share more RV stories! Keep in touch when you travel. Maybe we can meet up!
Tickridge offers a very comfortable place to spend a night or 2.
We were provided easy directions to their home. A great welcome upon our arrival - including lovin’ from the cute dogs (they are adorable).
The entrance is easy in and out; very level. Our site was perfect, also.
Tickridge is a wonderful place to visit. We would absolutely love to stop again if in the area.
We very much enjoyed staying at Tickridge! From spending time talking to the hosts to getting to see a "horse shoeing", it was a great stopover! We were provided 30A service in a level spot and a water hookup. A very nice farm setting hosted by a very nice couple! Our dog loved their little dogs and the cat!
Sam was nice enough to stay up and meet us when we arrived at the end of a long day. Their place was just lovely and easy to get into even with our 40 ft 5th wheel. It was a bit off of our route but well worth the detour.
Tickridge was just the ticket. Large stone drive to park in, easy access off the highway and great hospitality. Make sure you stop here on your way by.
