We are a newly married couple that just sold our house in Colorado in 2019 and are taking a sabbatical from work to travel around the United States in our RV for the next year or two. Our goal is to find a new place to live, and we are using this opportunity to see what areas we like.
Despite a crazy 2020, we have already covered the East Coast and the South, so now we are checking out the West and the Midwest. We have really enjoyed all the great people that we have met on Boondockers Welcome.
I have worked with computers for many years now and have experience doing minor repair, networking, etc. I also am completing my degree in computer science and have experience in programming, web sites development, etc. I enjoy gardening, home repair, and a range of crafts like knitting, beading, silversmithing, and paper art.
My husband worked in radio and television as a producer for many years and is currently starting a podcast. He has a love for all things American history and sports.
Additionally, we have restored our little Winnebago on the inside and have had learned quite a bit about fixing various engine and chassis problems while on the road. We have installed new lights, a new power converter, repaired a roof, repaired our pipes, installed a soft start, replaced the coolant reservoir, replaced the engine coolant sensor after an overheating issue, as well as built a few custom odds and ends for this old rig. We like to think of ourselves as resourceful problem solvers.
We have 2 dogs, an old border collie mix and a shepherd mix named Billie Jean and Kiva, as well as one feisty, orange cat named Henry.
We've been boondocking in our RV for about a year now, but I grew up camping with family that enjoyed getting away from people and camping remotely on Forest Service land. I still enjoy spending time anywhere with a great view, peace, and quiet.
We especially enjoyed our time in the northern-most parts of Maine, but every driveway, backlot, or pasture has been greatly appreciated while we have been on our journey.
Our last location was Wellington, Colorado just south of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and near the Colorado/Wyoming border, but we are currently without a home base until we find a new place to settle down. We were both born and raised in Colorado, Amanda from Southern Colorado in Pueblo, and Spencer from around the Denver metro area in Golden.
We have a 1994 Winnebago Warrior 22RB. It is 22 ft long and we have a small 2 - 3 ft hitch box on the back.
We wished they were staying longer. They are welcome anytime. I enjoyed speaking with them. Sorry Laura and I were not able to see you off. Best wishes and safe travels. Y’all come back ya here now?
Enjoyed this very friendly young couple-clean and neat-left things as they found them- they are welcome back anytime they need a spot to rest for a night or two.
They are "shopping" for a place to call home while the full time all across America. I wished them luck. Welcome back anytime.

You could have stayed for the rest of the month. We would have loved visiting with you! Hope your traveled back down the state are good, the roads not too rough, the weather great (looks like it will be) and your explorations exciting. So anxious to travel again, but one day at a time. Peace and blessings!!!
We had a wonderful visit with these folks and their furbabies. They have done some extensive traveling in a short 9 months. We had lots to share and enjoyed helping them find places to visit that were open. We hope to follow their travels. They have a great, restored little rig. Very handy and best attitudes during some rough times. Come back anytime. Blessings.
