We are physically active retirees. We live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. We both love classical music, hiking, camping, kayaking on the New River, playing tennis, vegetable gardening and cooking together. I play trombone in a 1940's type "big band" and my wife plays piano. Forty years ago we founded a community chorus in our very rural community which is still going strong and we both still sing in it. With retirement I am spending more time in my backyard woodworking shop. We have traveled a good bit in our little "Casita" travel trailer and hope to do more as long as our health permits. As you can see, we have a busy life.
We have learned a good bit about bird watching in our area and love to learn new birds when we are traveling to other regions of the country.
We have done several trips to the Colorado mountains where most National Forest campgrounds are without hookups. Fortunately in Colorado our little solar panel is very effective and provides all the power we need.
In Florida we have found State Forest and water management district sites that are not online and therefore not crowded.
