I’m a small business and nonprofit consultant, spending about half my time based in Northeast Georgia and the other half on the road.
When I’m at home I enjoy fixing up at 100-year-old house and learning how not to blow myself up with electricity. I play billiards and regularly go for hikes with my dog.
I’m a natural extrovert and love meeting people and getting to know all about them. Don’t worry, I totally respect those who prefer to be left by themselves.
i’m fairly good at troubleshooting computer, printer, and network problems. I’ve also spent the past three years fixing up a dilapidated hundred-year-old house so problem-solving is something that I thoroughly enjoy.
Hurley is a mix-breed dog that quite literally walked into my house one day. He pretty much follows me around. He doesn’t bark, is friendly and laid-back, and isthe most people-pleasing dog in existence. He has his own Facebook page called Adventures of Hurley. He typically travels with me, but stays within our van or trailer unless invited out.
Stayed one night with Evan. Nice level spot. Communication was excellent. He has a hell of a project in front of him. Makes me feel old! I'll have to stop back in in a few years to see how he's doing. Strongly recommend.
Wonderful stay. Host very friendly and informative, fabulous old house/inn he’s restoring, very love able dog, goats, chickens. He’s got it all. Got in early so had time to visit nearby Watson Mill Creek SP he suggested. Sweet little SP. can’t wait to return to see progress on house.
We stayed at Booger Hill and enjoyed talking with Bizfixer about the house renovation he is doing. He was a good source of information about the nearby State Parks and other attractions. Definitely would stay again.
The host was very kind he helped me get hooked up but due to the virus we didn’t get to talk the rest of the visit and I respected his space. He did email me the password so I could use the internet which was very nice. I enjoyed his goats which was my neighbors while I was there, loved listening to their sounds in the mornings. Host was not at home when I left, it was a tight squeeze for me to back out but I was very careful and took it slow and made it out with no issues. Very quiet area. It rained the whole time I was there so I didn’t get to sit outside. I would definitely recommend a stay here with this kind host anytime. Thank you
We didn't stay with Bixfixer. We recieveed a call from home and had to change direction of travel back home. So will try Bizfixer in the future.
He and his dog Hurley are fantastic hosts. He shared so much history about his wonderful historic home I am calling the “labor of love”. We will come back in the future to see his renovation progress! Also, his place is about an hour from Helen, Ga the cutest German town ever!! Thank you for your hospitality!
Our host was friendly and very helping us.
We stay just one night because we were traveling but we recommend it to everyone!
