Maureen and Craig are excited to start full time RVing in April 2020. They purchased their first rig in December of 2019 and named it Ikigai. They are looking forward to seeing this amazing country and meeting new people. Craig’s been in technology leadership for more years than we can remember. He may or may not work again, life’s short. Maureen’s been a self-employed marketing consultant for more than a dozen years, after running screaming from the corporate world. She enjoys working for herself and will continue to work on the road, part-time. Most days she loves what she does! Most days. Craig and Maureen enjoy nature, beaches, mountains, animals, reading, technology, learning new things and the list goes on...

Skills & Expertise to Share

Maureen’s Expertise: marketing, website development, social media, public relations, video creation, home remodeling, shell and miscellaneous crafting.

Craig’s Expertise: life long learner, problem solver, IT, mentor, team leader, wood working, plumbing, electrical, and home remodeling.

Ikigai's Pets

Craig and Maureen have a 10 year-old, 20 pound Pekeshon (Pekingese and Bichon Frise) named Daisy. She travels everywhere with them but sometimes would prefer to stay in the RV and nap if they are doing too much walking, hiking or running around for her short legs!

Favorite Boondocking Locations

Haven’t had much experience yet!

Ikigai's Hometown

Maureen is originally from Lake Hiawatha, NJ and Craig's from Tifton, Georgia. They met and lived in Orlando for 25 years. In 2018, they decided to get out of the big city, sell the house, downsize and rent a log cabin on 5 acres, 2 miles down a dirt road, about 45 minutes outside of Savannah, GA. Then, in May of 2019 they moved to Fort Myers, Florida, downsized again and rented a condo to be closer to one of their happy places, Sanibel Island. In April of 2020, they will hit the road and become full-time RVers.

Just a quick overnight and then they were gone. Hoping they come back after Covid.
