My husband and I are in our mid-thirties and already travel quite a bit for work, but are also traveling a lot for fun as well. We have a 32' fifth wheel, pulled by our Dodge Ram 3500...as well as a camper for the truck for shorter trips. We mostly like reading, playing cards games, and seeing new places. Very low key and respectful of other people's property - we have an RV park in development and look forward to opening up a space of two for other boondockers!
Crystal has been in the financial services industry for nearly 20 years and is currently in the mortgage field. In addition to management experience, bookkeeping, accounting, and small business experience, she is also an intermediate horse rider (English/Dressage), and an excellent cook/chef.
Jordon has over 17 years in the experiential aircraft industry and also does drone/video photography on the side. He also has his degree in information technology, handles website management, and can figure out most computer or network related issues.
Both of us love animals and have experience with horses, dogs, cats, chickens, cows, and more!
2 yellow labs, Zeus and Kleio. Zeus is a registered therapy dog and Kleio didn't quite make it through the training, but still support sweet and loved by all kids that meet her. We also have a strictly indoors cat, Panda.
Rest stops, Casinos, friend's houses, along the beach, truck stops, anywhere with ample parking (and a electric hookup if we're lucky)!
Currently working out of the Pacific NW (Portland, OR and Seattle, WA), but travel frequently for work. Recently purchased a partially developed RV park near Lake Conroe, TX.
2005 Dodge Ran 3500.usually just have the 18' Lance Camper on top, but will occasionally be pulling our 35' fifth wheel. We travel with two well behaved yellow labs (one is a therapy dog) and an indoor only cat. We can be completely self contained, but prefer electricity if available.
Great BW - stayed last year and thought I reviewed. Anyway - close to town - beautiful neighborhood. Would stay again if passing thru the area.
We had driven up
For a graduation from Florida and just wanted to rest for a couple of days. We received a call telling us where to park to have elect. Nice thank you.
We were slowed to just chill and come out to visit when we were rested. Talked about their ideas for th RV park they are putting in. Owner ware that thousand trails a short distance away. Many members need a 7 day window before they can check back into TT with over 300 Rv dips in. Conroe TT. Smart to offer a 7 day package. And LP
Fills. So an excellent stay.
Our stay at Buck Acres was just what we needed, restful. We were completely shaded all day. It is a lovely setting for the RV sites they are putting in.
It was really nice to stay on a mostly level site with trees all around after a week at a campground where we could never get level and we could almost reach out and touch our neighboring RV.
We really enjoyed our stay here! Very quiet and they were both so helpful & friendly. Would definitely stay here again if in the area... Thank you so much!
Very nice. Lots of shade, good against heat but not so good if you rely on solar for your power. Beautiful place but where we were was not level. The auto levelers wouldn’t level without some sort of blocks under the tires first, then had to put some under the landing gear so they weren’t overextended. The care takers were extremely friendly and courteous. We did not use any services so cant say much on that other than they were offered. All that said, we would come back again. It a lovely place and what they are doing there is great.
Can’t say enough about Buck’s place. The hosts were very helpful and extremely nice. They visited with us for awhile and assisted in helping us set up. They were so sweet to our son showing them their let’s and offering for us to do an egg hunt for Easter if we wanted. They even hid a special egg for him. The site is in a wooded area so we felt like we were camping. Would definitely stay again when in the area.
The caretaker of the property kindly informed us that they had received a cancellation due to the winter storm in Texas. After days of driving through the storm, we were very grateful to be able to stay in the same place for a couple more days. Thanks for the courtesy and the bonus days!
This was our first Boondockers Welcome site. Even though the caretaker was experiencing the storm of the century and had no water or power, he graciously welcomed us. We were easily able to back our 44 ft. rig into the wooded parking area. Buck acres is a beautiful location and the caretaker and his wife are very kind and generous hosts. Thanks for making our first Boondockers stay so wonderful!
Nice place just outside Conroe, spent some time talking with grounds guy. We were in and out to explore. With you like dirt bike racing it is just across the street!
This was a fantastic place to stay for a few days and the host great! If your looking for a place to Boondock near Lake Conroe look no father.
Great spot that feels in the middle of nowhere, but very close to all the modern conveniences.
This was a fabulous location tucked into the woods, yet easily accessible. The owners are off-site but responsive and the on-site caretaker was very friendly. I parked and did not move for 5 days! I was the only RV - a few tenters showed up on the weekend. I hope to stay again when my travels take me near there again.
Peaceful quiet property. It was our first Boondocking stay and being among the tall trees was a very calming connection to nature. Very kind and intuitive people to work with. Would recommend anyone to stay here.
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful tree-filled property. It feels like you're in a rural area, but all the stores and restaurants you would need are nearby and it's near Houston and very near Lake Conroe.
The caretaker was very nice and helpful. We stayed here with a 38ft. fifth wheel and it was easy to get in and out of the property. We'd definitely like to stay here again if we're in the area.
Nice people, great hosts, great location close to stores and restaurants but off a back road. They are working on building FHU spots in the future fas a paid campground.
This was our first Boondockers Welcome stay and it was great. Host was not on site but excellent communication. Caretakers were helpful and super friendly. Happy to have a place to stay for a few nights after several long driving days.
AlwaysHome hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Friendly and the area is beautiful next to a lake. Had a wonderful time and definitely coming back.
Great first experience with BW! We are sorry we didn’t get to meet the hosts as they were out of state, but we did meet the property caretaker. Very peaceful property and not far from a main route with lots of grocery and food options. Thanks to our hosts for the great stay!
Great location! easy access. Will stop again if we come this way!
We loved our stay at Buck Acres. The hosts were kind and accommodating, and the setting was beautiful. AlwaysHome communicated helpful information, and were quick to reply. Plenty of space for any rig, plus tow car if you have one. We stayed in the clearing in the photo in order to have sun for our solar panels, but there are many options on the property, both shaded and sunny. We look forward to staying with them again in the future.
