My husband and I love living in Michigan and sharing its beauty. He’s an avid cyclist and is happy to give recommendations. I love to swim and sew. We both love to walk and hike. I am a vegetarian. He is an omnivore, so we can cover a full range of food preferences recommendations.
Cycling, hiking, and walking recommendations
Quilting shop recommendations, especially for batiks
Restaurant recommendations for cities close by.
We have a 15 pound rescue dog who is a terrier/shih tzu mix. She is very friendly, only barks when someone knocks, and LOVES to chase after a ball.
We live in the country on a lovely, little, no-wake lake so there are no fast boats to run you over while you swim, paddle board or kayak. There are 2 major grocery stores and propane available within 10 minutes of us so restocking is easy. We are less than a mile from a major trailhead for walking/running/cycling. Horseback riding is available about 10 minutes away. We are 30 minutes from Ann Arbor, where we lived for over 30 years and know well, 20 minutes from Brighton, and 15 minutes from Dexter. We lived in Ann Arbor for over 30 years.
We have a 27' airstream which we tow with an F-150 pick up truck. We usually have a couple of bikes on the back of the trailer, so our overall length is closer to 30’.
We enjoyed having LakesideTerri stay with us. Hope she can come back for a longer visit.
We would love to have her back for another stay. She is fun to talk to and loves my animals. Her dog was well behaved and very cute.
Nice couple stayed a few nights. Hardly noticed they were here. Cute little puppy liked to play ball. Interesting things about Great Lakes were shared too, never too old to learn. Welcome back anytime.
There are many that we meet as boondocking hosts that we enjoy their company and would gladly welcome them back and then there are those that you meet who you really have a kinship with and you feel like you have known them forever. The day of this couple was so much fun and not only do we hope to see them again at our place, we hope to visit them at theirs.
This was their first "Boondockers Welcome" experience and they don't need any training, they were perfect guests. Their little dog is really cute and well trained. They are welcome back anytime.
At Lakeside Terri's I could feel the tension from the past isolated months melting away as I took up their offer to use their paddleboat (first time) on that beautiful lake, and later the kayak (first time). Loved it. They are wonderful people with a wonderful dog Zoey. I fished, explored, hiked, relaxed, and felt safe and welcome. Thank you Lakeside Terri.
