Retired, living the dream!
Greenfield, NY or where ever I park for the night.
Airstream Classic w/ Ford F350 dually crew cab.
It was a pleasure to host this gentleman. I wish I had time to get to know him, but I had too much to do.
Very quiet completely self-sufficient he had mechanical issues so we didn’t get to interact much but welcome back anytime
Gilamonthe stayed on one o f my RV sites for three days. He was quiet and traveled a round the area enjoying the area sites. He was also helpful in removing the leaves that had accumulated over the last 3 or 4 months were my RV sites are located. He is welcome to return any time he wishes.
Said he needed a few days down time between stops, and said he enjoyed just that. Had good weather for relaxing and reading.
Welcome to stop back whenever needing a spot.
Very quiet and easy to deal with. Welcome back anytime. Maybe we will stop and see you when we are up your way 😊.
Whether in the Adirondacks or in GA, gjlamonthe is always a wonderful and gracious host! Savannah Adventure is a great central location for many historic sites as well as outdoor activities such as hiking, birding, boating and fishing. I hope to make time to visit again to enjoy more of the area. Thanks for a nice spot!
While the host was not present during my stay, he graciously allowed me to stay at his beautiful locstion. I hope I will get to meet him should I return in the future! The property is truly gorgeous surrounded by trees which, at the moment, are in full color. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
A great hideaway near Saratoga springs. Staying an extra night
Great communication with host. Easy. Simple. Perfect
Beautiful setting, open area surrounded by trees. Plenty of space to turn around as there is a wide circle path built in. We found a fairly level spot, but hand to make the circle a second time to do so. Owner was quick to respond to my request and provided answers to my questions promptly. Neighborhood is very nice and fall foliage is amazing. We stayed in our 40’ Class A with our Jeep Grand Cherokee in tow. Only tight spot was turning into the drive, as we had oncoming traffic and the drive snuck up on us. The entry has a couple of low hanging limbs that would be great to trim back. NOTE: GPS (Apple Maps) told us we had arrived several houses before we actually arrived.
It was great that we could pull through and make our turn around on the property without having to unhook the toad. Nighttime was very quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay here again. Hopefully next time we would have the pleasure of meeting gjlamothe.
Quick overnight stay, the grounds were beautiful. The leaves are changing it was stunning. Would stay again
Thanks for the stay...the night was quiet and dark. The woods we beautiful, thanks.
greatly enjoyed a quiet night in a beautiful field. gjlamothe offered use of dump station and water. Very friendly and will visit again
I truly don’t know how to express in words this magical stay. Camper specifics - this place is perfect for any rig type, so much space so many options, and the full hook ups were an absolute treat. The property is beautifully kept, with cozy winding walking paths, plus I we came at the most perfect time of the year - warm days with comfortably cool sleeping nights. The stars were bright and the golden yellow leaves fell all around us like snow flakes. The location is just amazing, we have never been to this part of the state and boy was it a real treat. The local state park is really a site to see, with natural mineral water and the most refreshing drinking water. Make sure you stop for some Stewart’s Iced Coffee and Their blueberry pie in the sky ice cream - YUM!
Now on a more personal note - our host was out of this world. Between his generosity and kindness, we were blown away. The history of the property and the hosts family was so exciting to learn about. I will absolutely cherish our treasures we went home with. Thank you so much for your generosity and sharing your little slice of heaven with us newbies! Hope we meet again :)
We had a wonderful stay at this location. Close to everything, yet far from the noise. Our host was very enjoyable to chat with and offered some great ideas around the area. We definitely plan to visit with him again and suggest you do too! We thank him for offering this wonderful location and sharing it with others!
The site was everything we were looking for, a quiet place to stop on our way through. The field was big and you can easily find a nice private spot to spend the night.
Gary is a wonderful host. His spot is perfect with full hook ups and easy access! Thank you for having us stay!! Definitely recommend for some peace and tranquility just minutes from the highway.
I left a reference for the 2 nights I stayed there and this is one for the third night! I appreciated the trust leaving me alone at the property where I had a good rest. thanks again!
My stay has lasted 3 days instead of 2. I'm grateful to our host Gary who I haven't met but is gracious enough to share his septic station, electric and water with us traveling souls. It has been a peaceful, re-grouping respite from the long road I've been on, in green, foresty, quiet surroundings. Much thanks and appreciation!
This was a lovely few nights in beautiful Saratoga Springs. Thank you for your hospitality! We look forward to see you on the road.
My time spent at Adirondack Adventure (two) has been amazing. gjlamothe is a wonderful host and eagerly shared his passion for and knowledge of the history of this area with me, which made it even more enjoyable. I enjoyed not only the nature of the nearby beautiful Adirondack Mountains, but also enjoyed several days in the town of Saratoga Springs and State Park. The nearby Fossil Stone vineyards and winery is beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting and daily walks on their trails. So much to do here~ I will definitely be back again. The boondocking property is safe, has plenty of level places from which to choose and is equally as beautiful as the rest of the area. Gracious host and beautiful area~ what’s not to love!
Loved this place, super nice space and very nice host. Awesome wine tasting at the winery nearby.
Gary could not have been nicer and more accommodating! His yard and house is very nicely kept, safe and quiet. We hope to stay again on our way back! Thanks Gary!
We are having a great time here, very quiet peaceful relaxing that's how far from town. I like it here so much I will request another two nights.
The time we were were on his property was wonderful More then everything needed in 1 spot, with room for several other campers. If you are traveling with a group of campers this is where you want to boondock in the Saratoga area Our host offered a winery tour that my wife would have enjoyed, but extra workdays did not allow it. :( I enjoyed talking to our host and he has a lovely home and nice shady places to boondock. We will be back for a longer stay, with more time to explore Saratoga. Thank You to our host and thank you to Boondockers Welcome website. This is what RVing should be. :)
We will never forget walking through a home built in 1793, so much history here. Enjoyed seeing the old furniture and the history behind them. The lapidary shop was a huge bonus. The grounds were so beautiful, and the black walnut forest was magnificent. Thank you again for all you have done and shared with us. A very restful stay.
My husband and I spent three nights at this Host location and we enjoyed every minute. It is super close to the town of Saratoga Springs with its very historic buildings and elegant charm. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Wheatfield's restaurant in town. We spent a day and drove up to the Adirondack Mountains and visited the Lake George and Lake Placid areas. Both were amazing to see! Our host was incredibly hospitable and gave us wonderful recommendations. We enjoyed our time outside by the fire getting to know him better and he even gave us a tour of his incredible home. Very special place and wonderful host! We would love to come back and spend more time in the future!
An absolutely private gorgeous setting! Loved visiting the beautiful Saratoga Springs Spa State Park with it's hiking trails and Farmer's Market.
Saratoga Springs boasts so many unique shops and restaurants. Wonderful host and wonderful stay!
Wow. Stay here if you’re in the area! Such a beautiful spot in a grassy area with trees, flowers and lots of deer and birds. There’s water, elec & sewer in one of the spots, and the rest are boondocking. There’s also a small winery just around the corner, and the beautiful Saratoga Springs only 10 mins away. Wonderful spot, super nice host, best BW stay so far!
The site was beautiful and private. gjlamothe was a wonderful and personable host. He provided assistance setting up and even when my dog had a bumble bee bite and needed Benadryl. There are many interesting sites near by, including the Auto Museum in Saratoga Springs, as well as the hiking trails there. Another plus was wine tasting and great conversation at the Fossil Stone Winery down the road - the red, rose and marquette was delicious!
We loved our stay here. The site was fantastic, the host was very friendly and helpful, and the local state park was amazing! Would love to is it again!
Excellent host in a beautiful area. Level spot with water, sewer, and electric.
Unparalleled response with all communications.
Enjoyed picking fresh black caps. Very plentiful.
Easy in and out with motorhome & trailer.
This is a generous spot as it has its own w/e hook-ups and dumping station for the primary site. (There is, however, space in another field for others.) The property has woods around it yet it is just minutes to conveniences. The area is rich in outdoor activities. The host is very kind - though we didn’t have the chance to meet him in person.
What can I say about an RV spot that has full hook ups including RV dump.. Very peaceful… The second day my wife and I took our bikes down to Saratoga springs and had lunch and did the tourist thing… A 20 minute ride on a bicycle… The third day we unhookEd the water and electricity and left everything on the property and took the RV Up to Lake George for the day and did the tourist thing again… A 30 minute drive… We had a lovely little fire each night… I set up a trail camera in the woods and it took pictures of deer… And on the morning that We left I had a beautiful fox run right out of the woods across the field in front of me… So if you like that kind of thing and we do ,it was a very wonderful four nights… Thank you so much Gary maybe someday we can meet. Also we met a family that was Boondocking in the field above us but they left the next morning… Very nice people… Also Gary sister Doreen came down and said hello and we talked for a while… Very nice person.:.Probably the best Boondocking experience I have had so far
Relaxing! Beautiful and full of history. Close to great day trips.
The host is exceptionally helpful. He is also a kind person and makes you feel right at home.
Thank you for offering your slice of heaven to us for the week. Memories have been made.
Gjlamothe's property is absolutely beautiful and the grounds are meticulously maincured. It was very quiet at night and we could hear woodpeckers and other birds chirping in the trees during the day. We stayed for 4 days and slept soundly each night. Our host provided us with electric, water and sewer hookups to make our stay comfortable. It's a short drive to Saratoga Springs, and Glens Falls and Lake George are close by as well. It was absolutely perfect, we couldn't have asked for anything more. I just wish we didn't have to go home 😔. Thanks again for your hospitality!
This was an amazing location! We loved every bit of it, from the ease of pulling in to the beautiful wildflowers all around. Our host was really kind and so easy to communicate with. Highly recommended, we hope to be back again!
