While we’ve been long time campers, the RVing and boondocking, we’re just getting in to. We live in a beautiful area and have plenty of room to share so thought this might be a great way to jump in feet first.
We’ve got all sorts of pets and yours are welcomed too. We’ve got dogs, cats, a chicken with more on the way, a pot bellied pig and may well have the horses, cows and goats by the time you get here. We do ask that your animals be under control, leashed, kenneled, tethered, contained inside the camper, etc., to avoid any danger to our own babies, but there is plenty of room to run for the well mannered fur ball.
We’re currently traveling with our 2 Chihuahuas and our new German Shepherd puppy and Cairn Terrier mix rescue. They are well maintained, well contained and well mannered.
We’re located in the heart of NC, Asheboro. We’re home to the NC Zoo and the Nationally regraded Seagrove Pottery District, situated in the beautiful, rolling hills of the Uwharrie Mountains, the oldest mountain chain in the world. Lake Lucas is just a mile away but this is just the beginning, we’ve got High Rock, Badin, Tillery, Jordan lakes and so many more within just minutes.

We so appreciated our overnight stay with Lynda (Shawn?) as we travelled more than 15 hours night and day enroute to our home back in Ont. They were friendly and accommodating and understood we would not be socializing. They gave priority to our dog Sonny to allow him to stretch and roam too while we set up for the night. We slept well and long on their peaceful gravel site. The site location is 5 mins away from a main highway with all the usual services. Thank you for your kindness and being a great BW host.
This stay was very nice. They have a lot of land and we had beautiful views. They were close enough to town that we were able to sightsee easily.
The family was very friendly and played with our son like he was theirs and the dogs did the same.
We had a great time.
Due to rainy weather we got stuck leaving and they hooked our truck to their tractor and pulled us out. They were very kind about it all!
We would love to come back again.
Super nice people. Very welcoming and helpful, and very peaceful setting. Thanks so much for hosting us.
