We live in Nahant, MA. Mark went to sea for a number of years as a merchant ship's officer ending up as captain. He then changed to a career in IT.
We are in the middle of selecting a truck and fifth wheel combination to travel the US and Canada. A lot of time and study is going into this decision.
Mark is planning to build some small boats in our barn workshop as well as enjoying the waters around Nahant when we are not traveling.
We have good friends from Canada who travel in their Jayco Eagle fifth wheel pulled by a Chevy 2500. They have helped us with our decision making and I will be traveling with them to the National Specialty of our dog breed at Purina farms in Gray Summit, MO this month.
I will be happy to post a picture of us when I can get Mark to help me do it. I think that this is a wonderful site and I hope to learn a lot from it and also try to be of help to others here.
My husband has carpenter skills as well as knowledge of boats and some of boat engines. I have an interest in dog training and take part in various dog sports like earth dog, obedience, agility and nose work.
We have not boon docked yet but have been with our friends when they have done so. We were at a nearby hotel at the time.
The plan is to travel cross country with them to the 2015 National Specialty of the American Border terrier Club in Sacramento, CA. Our friends live near Montreal, Canada and also Halifax, NS.
We live in Nahant, MA, north of Boston along the coast.
Do not have one as yet. Our friends have a 27 foot Jayco Eagle fifth wheel.
