As seniors, living in a renovated church in rural Ontario, we are self employed; Donna running a B&B and Day Spa on site, and Cam a former sustainable home builder, who writes newspaper columns on green buildings. We welcome Boondockers spring, summer and fall when we are in residence oursleves. We are both into sustainability, but in different ways. Cam is a high tech sort of guy, while Donna is big on the re-use/re-gift/re-cycle angle. When Cam envisioned the renovations for the church, both were a big part of the mix.
Donna is into alternative healing; has walked the Camino and is contemplating a 900 km hike along the Bruce Trail in a year or two with her daughter. Cam's background is as a contractor and green builder and he enjoys sharing his experience.
We do not allow pets on the property either for boondockers or for our B&B guests and have none ourselves.
We are fairly new into RVing, but there was one spot on the St. Lawrence that was truly inspiring and which gave us the idea of looking more deeply into boondocking. Staying with Ginny and Perry in New Boston, Tx was a highlight on our way to and from AZ in the winter of 19/20 and ditto for Carol and Bill in Cadiz, Kentucky.
We are nestled in the hamlet of Watson's Corners, a hour from Canada's capital, Ottawa; less than 1/2 hour from Perth and just over an hour from Kingston. About 3 1/2 from both Toronto and Montreal.

An adventure for sure, I love how some people take adversity and roll with it until they come out smiling at the end. I sure hope to see you in the future. Of course you are welcome back any time.
Interesting and friendly couple. Just what you'd expect from a couple B&B owners. We had some nice conversations both in the evening and the morning before they left. We've invited them back and hope once they sell their home and go full time that it's a pleasant experience for them and they come by here often.
This couple is always more than welcome here. We thoroughly enjoy their visits and conversation! We'll look forward to their next trip south.
We are already looking forward to the fall for the return of these wonderful snowbirds! The time just whizzed by and we could hardly believe it was time for them to go again. They are so much fun to have around and we miss them already. We wish them Godspeed and safe travels as they return to their home in Canada.
Very friendly and easy to like. They are welcome back anytime.
It was a pleasure to host this beautiful couple. We had enlightening and wonderful conversation. I hope they stop on the way back!
We met these two Boondockers Welcome guests as strangers but quickly became friends. It was so interesting to hear of their life adventures (including remodeling a church to become a bed 'n breakfast enterprise). Candy Cane Corral now has a driver's education practice area to polish ones driving skills! Donna had fun and we had fun watching her perform! We look forward to return visits when this couple returns home in the spring. We wish them Godspeed and safe travels until we meet again.
We thoroughly enjoyed these guests. They would have been welcome to stay much longer, and we will look forward to their return. When hugs are exchanged before leaving, you know you have lifetime friends!
