I am self employed in the sign and window tinting business and my wife Maureen works in town. We would like to travel in our RV or on the motorcycle more but we do have to work. I have recently started a podcast relating to RVing and you can find it on Itunes or at www.thervcampfirepodcast.com . We love the outdoors and you can find us kayaking, fishing, boating and geocaching all over Ontario. We also have a small Christmas tree farm and make maple syrup every spring.
We have a 2011 Keystone Avalanche 330re that we love. It is a little heavy but getting used to it. It is rigged for boondocking with extra batteries and solar. We pull it with a 2011 chev 2500HD duramax. it is 3 years old and I am still on the honeymoon with it!
We spent the first night of our cross country adventure at Mike's xmas tree farm. He welcomed us warmly with no fuss and we were able to set up just about anywhere we pleased. It was a great night - so quiet and millions of stars to gaze at while we had a campfire. it was a great way to start our trip. Thanks Mike!
If you like quiet and peace, then this is the place to stay.
We spent a night at the Christmas tree farm. Our host had given us directions on where to park, and later on came on his motor bike to welcome us. It was a new, and unusual experience. No house in sight, all trees, raspberry bushes, free firewood, and no other soul around. We really enjoyed it, and we thank our host for his hospitality and his concern for our wellbeing.
